TBS, televisions very funny network, is upping the ante on home-renovation with THE MANSION, a new original reality competition series in which eight supercharged competitors will renovate a Cincinnati mansion that one of them will eventually get to keep. THE MANSION, hosted by Mark L. Walberg (Temptation Island), comes to TBS from Evolution Film & Tape, Inc. (Fear Factor, Big Brother), with Douglas Ross (Fear Factor), Dean Minerd (Clean Sweep), Greg Stewart (King of the Jungle) and Kathleen French (Switched, Bands Reunited) serving as executive producers. THE MANSION is set to premiere on TBS Saturday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m. (ET/PT).
THE MANSION is set in Cincinnati in an outdated estate in need of repair. Enter eight amateur home remodelers determined to turn the mansion into a paradise and walk away with the keys. For the next seven weeks, the eight competitors will live in and work together on the house, one project at a time. Before beginning each challenge, the renovators will elect one competitor to serve as project foreman. That person will lead the group to complete the project, juggling assignments, making tough decisions, managing the budget, distributing the project paychecks and trying to maintain group cohesiveness in the face of mounting deadlines and flaring tempers. THE MANSION will culminate with TBS viewers voting to award one of the eight competitors the keys to the newly renovated dream house.
