TERI HATCHER, JON STEWART AND DONALD TRUMP CONFIRMED AS
PRESENTERS FOR THE 56TH ANNUAL PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS ON ABC
Awards Broadcast Live from Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium September 19
Teri Hatcher, Jon Stewart and Donald Trump have been confirmed as presenters for the "56th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards." The show will broadcast live from Los Angeles' historic Shrine Auditorium, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET, Live / tape delayed for PT) on ABC.
After a six-year hiatus from series television, Teri Hatcher is returning to ABC in the new drama "Desperate Housewives." Best known as Lois Lane in the 1994-1997 ABC series, "Lois & Clark," Hatcher's other television credits include recurring roles on "Seinfeld" and "MacGyver," as well as guest appearances in "Frasier" and "Two and a Half Men." Her feature film credits include "The Big Picture,"" Soapdish," "Two Days in the Valley," "Spy Kids" and a turn as a bond girl in "Tomorrow Never Dies."
Emmy award-winner Jon Stewart has earned an additional two Emmy nominations for Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart." Since taking over hosting duties of "The Daily Show" in January 1999, the show has earned three Emmy Awards and an additional six nominations, as well as the prestigious Peabody Award for excellence in 2001. Prior to taking over "The Daily Show, Stewart's other television credits include HBO's critically acclaimed "The Larry Sanders Show," HBO's comedy special, "Jon Stewart: Unleavened," NBC's "NewsRadio," HBO's "Mr. Show with Bob & David," as well as guest-hosting CBS' "The Late, Late Show with Tom Snyder." Stewart's feature film credits include "Death to Smoochy," "Big Daddy,"" Playing by the Heart" and "The Faculty. "
Legendary businessman Donald Trump has earned his first Emmy nomination for NBC's reality show, "The Apprentice," which he hosts as well as executive produces with Mark Burnett. A real estate mogul, Trump has sculpted the landscape of New York City with such prestigious buildings as Trump Tower, Trump International Hotel & Tower and the luxury residential buildings Trump Park Avenue, Trump Palace, Trump Parc and The Trump World Tower at the United Nations Plaza. He also owns and develops real estate across the United States with hotels, casinos and golf courses in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Nevada, Illinois and California.
