FRESH FROM THE DAILY PLANET: LIFEHOUSE TO PLAY AT THE SMALLVILLE HIGH SENIOR PROM

Burbank, CA April 5, 2005

Multi-platinum recording group LIFEHOUSE performs on THE WB's hit series SMALLVILLE on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 from 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. The hit single You and Me from the band's self-titled third album provides the moody backdrop behind the senior prom at Smallville High.

Football star Clark Kent (Tom Welling), now in his senior year, finds himself dateless for the ultimate high school rite of passage prom night. Beautiful and popular Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk) prefers pizza and a movie marathon in favor of the over-hyped dance. Furthermore, the Class of 2005, in a surprising move, has nominated the anti-establishment-favoring columnist, Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack) for Prom Queen. And, to complicate matters, the quick-witted, dazzling Lois Lane (Erica Durance) happens to be in-town.

Through a series of events that could only happen in the town of Smallville, all eventually make their way to the prom. With Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) sponsoring a performance by the band LIFEHOUSE as a senior gift, this night is destined to be one to remember.

ABOUT LIFEHOUSE: Fronted by singer-guitarist Jason Wade, drummer Rick Woolstenhulme and bassist Bryce Soderberg, Lifehouse will release their new self-titled cd on Geffen Records March 22, 2005. The album was produced by John Alagia (John Mayer, Rachel Yamagata, Liz Phair, Dave Matthews Band) and recorded at his home studio in Easton, Maryland, on the Chesapeake Bay. Wade proved himself a gifted songwriter with Lifehouse's first record, 2000's multi-platinum No Name Face, which spawned the #1 hit Hanging By A Moment. Stanley Climbfall, the band's Top 10 follow-up, was released in 2002 to critical praise. Look for Lifehouse to tour this spring in support of Lifehouse.

ABOUT SMALLVILLE: With realistic portrayals and award-winning, state-of-the-art special effects, Smallville reworks the Superman mythology from its roots. The series was developed for television by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar (Shanghai Noon, Spider-Man 2), based on DC Comics characters. The executive producers are Gough & Millar, Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins, Joe Davola (the latter three from One Tree Hill, What I Like About You), Greg Beeman (Nash Bridges), and Ken Horton (The X-Files, Millennium). Superman was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. SMALLVILLE airs Wednesdays (8:00 - 9:00 p.m. ET/PT) on The WB Network and is produced by Tollin/Robbins Productions and Warner Bros. Television Production Inc.
