24 (FOX) - Executive producer Evan Katz has inked a two-year, seven-figure overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television. The pact, which includes an option for a third year, calls for Katz to continue with his duties on the veteran drama as well as develop new projects for the studio.
GREY'S ANATOMY (ABC) - Writer/producer Krista Vernoff has signed a two-year, seven-figure overall deal with Touchstone Television. The pact covers her duties on her ABC/Touchstone-based drama pilot "Introducing Lennie Rose" should it move forward to series. Should "Rose" not get picked up however, Vernoff - who currently serves as a supervising producer on "Grey's Anatomy" - will be upped to co-executive producer for the show's second season. While ABC has yet to formally announce "Grey's" renewal, the series is widely considered a lock to return.
TRU CALLING (FOX) - Uber-retailer Best Buy is apparently planning to release the show's six-episode second season on an exclusive DVD set. The store's web set is already accepting pre-orders for the set (click here), which lists a release date of August 2 and carries a price of $29.99. No other specs however were available. In addition, the store's site is also listing a "Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Best of Spike" collection as another exclusive release. That set (click here for pre-order information) lists a July 5 release date and a price of $14.99. 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has yet to officially confirm either release however more details are expected to be announced shortly.
