FINALE FEVER INTENSIFIES AS BO BICE AND CARRIE UNDERWOOD FACE OFF FOR THE "AMERICAN IDOL" CROWN TUESDAY, MAY 24, ON FOX

VONZELL SOLOMON ELIMINATED FROM COMPETITION Finale Voting Window Extended to Four Hours

The biggest night of the television season is coming! Over 100,000 people auditioned, and now only two AMERICAN IDOL finalists remain - Bo Bice and Carrie Underwood. Next week, one will be the next AMERICAN IDOL and the other will go home. The No. 1 series on television continued its phenomenal season Tuesday night when the remaining three finalists performed three songs - one of their own choosing, one chosen by an IDOL judge and one selected by this week's guest judge, veteran music producer Clive Davis. In the penultimate performance episode over 37 million votes were received. During Wednesday's live results show, it was announced that Vonzell Solomon was eliminated from the AMERICAN IDOL competition. On Tuesday, Solomon sang "Chain of Fools," "On the Radio" and "I'll Never Love This Way Again."

Fans of Bo Bice and Carrie Underwood will have an expanded opportunity to cast their votes after Tuesday's performance show, when each contestant will be assigned three phone numbers in a voting window expanded to FOUR HOURS on AMERICAN IDOL Tuesday, May 24 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.

Immediately after the show, the phone lines will open and AMERICAN IDOL viewers can vote for their favorite singer by calling any of three toll-free numbers assigned to that contestant for FOUR HOURS.

Tune in the following night to watch the AMERICAN IDOL crowned on the live results show Wednesday, May 25 (8:00-10:00 PM live ET/tape-delayed PT) on FOX.
