The WB Rethinks 'Summerland' Burn-Off Strategy

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The WB has revised its burn-off plans for "Summerland" according to scheduling updates released by the network over the holiday weekend.

The Frog had previously slated the series to return for its final five installments on Tuesday, June 7 at 9:00/8:00c with encores also running on Mondays at 9:00/8:00c.

Now the network has indicated "Summerland" will return on June 13 with episodes only running once in the Monday, 9:00/8:00c hour. Repeats of "One Tree Hill" will instead air in the Tuesday, 9:00/8:00c slot beginning next week.

No reason for the change was given. With said notes in mind, here's a breakdown of the WB's revised summer schedule:

8:00/7:00c - "7th Heaven" (repeats)
9:00/8:00c - "Summerland" (new episodes, as of June 13)

Tuesdays
8:00/7:00c - "Gilmore Girls" (repeats)
9:00/8:00c - "One Tree Hill" (repeats, as of June 7)

8:00/7:00c - "Beauty and the Geek" (premieres June 1)
9:00/8:00c - "Smallville" (repeats, as of June 1)

Thursdays
8:00/7:00c - "Blue Collar TV" (repeats)
8:30/7:30c - "Blue Collar TV" (repeats)
9:00/8:00c - "Beauty and the Geek" (encores, as of June 2)

Fridays
8:00/7:00c - "What I Like About You" (repeats)
8:30/7:30c - "What I Like About You" (repeats)
