TV Land To Celebrate 50 Years of Warner Bros. Television Hits With 50-Hour Programming Marathon
NEW YORK, June 7 - Prepare to relive some of the funniest,
happiest and most emotional moments from the past 50 years of television as TV
Land presents a special 50 hour programming marathon featuring landmark
episodes from the Warner Bros. television library. Beginning Saturday, June
11th at 6am (ET/PT) through - Monday, June 13th at 8am (ET/PT), TV Land
viewers will be treated to a 50th anniversary salute to Warner Bros.
Television featuring milestone episodes of Dallas, Eight is Enough, The
Waltons, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Full House, in addition to the rarely
seen episodes of Sugarfoot, Love, Sidney, John Larroquette and many more.
Warner Bros. television programming has helped define the medium throughout
every decade with the best westerns (Cheyenne), classic soaps (Knots Landing),
memorable dramas (China Beach), iconic superheroes (Wonder Woman) and shows
that turned actors into stars (Welcome Back, Kotter).
"We're thrilled to present this momentous marathon to our viewers," states
Larry W. Jones, President, TV Land Nick at Nite. "These special episodes will
bring back a lot of memories for television fans and we're happy that Warner

Warner Home Video is also celebrating the 50th anniversary of Warner Bros.
television with a yearlong promotion. This campaign will feature DVD debuts
of series from every decade of Warner Bros. Television's history including
many of the shows featured in the Nick at Nite marathon.

Saturday, June 11th
6:00am Cheyenne #7117 (Episode #75) - Dual at Judas Basin
This lavishly produced series starring Clint Walker was
Warner Bros. first foray into television and one of three
rotating Western series presented under the banner "Warner
Bros. Presents." Cheyenne Bodie, Tom "Sugarfoot" Brewster
and Bronco Layne match wits and bullets with trapper Pike
Hanson, suspected of selling guns to Indians. One false
move could be the end of their friend as they play the
dangerous game of pinning the crime of murder and treason
on a clever crook.
7:00am Bronco #6857 (Episode #27) - Flight from an Empire
A spin-off of Cheyenne, this second in the Western line-up
under the title "Warner Bros. Presents," features ex-
Confederate Army Captain Bronco Layne wandering the West
in search of adventure. In this episode, Bronco hires
refugees from the fallen Maximillian empire, but has to
contend with bandits who are convinced a mother and son
know what happened to $5 million in missing gold.
8:00am Sugarfoot #1 - Brannigan's Boots
Action rides shotgun with humor in the adventures of Tom
"Sugarfoot" Brewster in this third series in the Western
line-up of "Warner Bros. Presents." Crooked politicians in
Bluerock appoint Tom sheriff after noting his poor
shooting aim. Tom, however, takes the job seriously. When
a pretty girl who is watching him says he's not man enough
to fill her father's boots, Tom sets out to prove her
wrong and find her father's killer.
9:00am Maverick #5 - Gun Shy
Mixing traditional Western adventure and good-natured
humor, this series stars James Garner as Bret Maverick,
the man TV Guide named the best dramatic actor of the
1950s. This spoof of Gunsmoke focuses on Marshal Mort
Dooley (Ben Gage), a grim man with a gun aimed at all
gamblers in general - and Maverick in particular.
10:00am Wonder Woman #15 - Anschluss '77 (SEASON TWO PREMIERE)
A super heroine from a lost tribe of Amazon women, Wonder
Woman is called upon to battle a new and more terrifying
Nazi menace when she and Steve Trevor are assigned to
investigate a reunion of expatriate Nazis on a small
tropical island.
11:00am The Adventures of Superman #36 - The Face and the Voice
Everyone's favorite superhero fights a never-ending battle
for truth, justice and the American way. Superman is so
popular that a new feature film is currently in
production. In this episode when a gangster's face is
altered to look like Superman he perpetrates crimes and
lays the blame on our hero.
11:30am F Troop #37 - The Great Troop Robbery
A phony medicine man tries to blame his thefts on Agarn
when he suffers a temporary memory loss in this classic
Western comedy that features a crew of hilarious, bumbling
cavalrymen somewhere west of the Missouri in post-Civil
War days. This series was so popular it attracted comedic
guest stars such as Milton Berle, Paul Lynde, Don Rickles
and other comedy greats.
12:00pm Mayberry RFD #1 - Andy and Helen Get Married
Andy and Helen get married and Aunt Bea becomes Sam's
housekeeper in the spin-off of the tremendously popular
The Andy Griffith Show.
12:30pm Chico and The Man #43 - Too Many Crooks
Freddie Prinze broke new ground for Latinos on TV co-
starring with Emmy Award winner Jack Albertson. They play
an unlikely duo that work in a repair garage in East Los
Angeles. When Ed (Albertson), not knowing that he gave a
handout to a crook, finds out that that money is what they
are after, all kinds of crooks from the neighborhood
coming to him for a handout as well.
1:00pm Welcome Back Kotter #2 - The Election
It's the instant comedy hit that made a star out of John
Travolta and popularized the characters of Horshack and
Mr. Kotter. In this episode, Barbarino (Travolta) is
running for Student Body President but his campaign turns
into a disaster.
1:30pm Alice #30 - Sixty Minutes Man
In this series starring Linda Lavin, Alice (Lavin)
suspects that a diner regular is really an incognito
mobster. This sassy show about a hard-working single mom
lasted an astounding nine seasons and broke the mold for
women in sitcoms.
2:00pm Waltons #1 - The Foundlings (FIRST EPISODE)
In this heartwarming family drama that won 10 Emmy Awards,
two Golden Globes and numerous other awards, the Waltons
take a young, abandoned girl into their home. After
seeing a doctor, they discover the girl is deaf.
3:00pm Scarecrow and Mrs. King - #1 The First Time (PILOT)
Special Agent "Scarecrow" enlists the aide of Amanda King
(everybody's favorite "Angel" Kate Jackson), a divorced
mother of two, for assistance in finding a leak in a D.C.
organization. Mrs. King is then offered a job with IFF and
continues to assist Lee "Scarecrow" Stetson (Bruce
Boxleitner).
4:00pm Sisters - #1 Moving In, Moving Out, Moving On (PILOT)
Sela Ward won her first Emmy for this series about four
very different sisters that received five Emmy and two
Golden Globe nominations. Reed sisters Alex, Georgie,
Teddy and Frankie are brought together by the sale of
their family home, an event that disturbs their recently
widowed mom.
5:00pm Life Goes On #1 - (PILOT)
Patti Lupone and Kelli Martin star in this critically
acclaimed, heartfelt drama about the daily struggles of a
family coping with Down Syndrome. When Corky tries to
mainstream into the 9th grade, the same grade as Becca,
she worries that her brother may stop her from getting to
the boy she really wants, Tyler Benchfield, a star on the
football team.

grow up? Oscar and Emmy-winner Christine Lahti stars in

Five-time Emmy Award-winner John Larroquette stars as a
recovering alcoholic who takes the job of night manager in
a seedy bus station, where a robbery and a missing bus
test his resolve to stay sober.
7:30pm Murphy Brown #1 - Respect (PILOT)
The classiest comedy about the world of broadcast news
garnered 62 Emmy Award nominations and 18 wins including
Best Comedy. Series star, Candice Bergen was nominated
for seven Emmy Awards and won five. When Murphy returns
to FYI after "drying out" at the Betty Ford Clinic, she
discovers the show underwent changes while she was gone,
including the addition of a beauty queen to the anchor
desk and a new young executive producer. In her first week
back she isn't sure whether she still has her edge.
8:00pm Fresh Prince of Bel Air #7 - Def Poet's Society
Will Smith became a household name in this Emmy and Golden
Globe- nominated series about a streetwise kid from
Philadelphia who moves in with relatives in Bel-Air. Will
joins his prep school's poetry club at his Uncle Philip's
insistence, but he must enlist Geoffrey's help when he is
called on to present a poem at a reading.

One of ABC's biggest comedy hits for eight years starring
Bob Saget and John Stamos, it features Danny Tanner
(Saget), widowed father of three young and rambunctious
girls, who recruits his two buddies to move in and help
him raise his kids.
9:00pm Eight is Enough - #11 Trial Marriage
Dick Van Patten stars as the father of eight very
independent and different children in this often comical,
always touching drama series. This episode introduces
Betty Buckley as Sue "Abby" Abbott. Tommy breaks his
ankles at a touch football game and will miss school for
five weeks, while Mary moves in with her boyfriend, a
young psychiatry student.
10:00pm Eight is Enough: Wedding
This made-for-television reunion film finds eldest son
David on the brink of marriage to a divorcee. However,
some of his sisters would prefer to see a reunion with his
ex-wife Janet.
12:00am Falcon Crest - #68 Ashes to Ashes (SEASON THREE FINALE)
In one of primetime's juiciest soaps, the rich and greedy
fight for power and sex in this saga that takes place the
winery Falcon Crest. At the charred springhouse, the
coroner, after inspecting a ring and bone fragments,
positively identifies the remains as Julia's. In a note to
Lance, Julia's last request is to have her ashes scattered
in Italy.

This popular comedy was the flip side of Welcome Back
Kotter, with overachieving honor students instead of
underachieving "sweathogs." In this episode, Arvid starts
to daydream about Lori and it affects his schoolwork.

The prototype glamour detective series made Ed "Kookie"
Burns a teen idol. In this episode, Kookie befriends a
pretty teenager who is kidnapped, making him think that
she is a runaway heiress and causing Bailey and Spencer to
become involved.
7:00am Surfside Six #7211 (Episode #3) - The Clown
Before Don Johnson made Miami "cool" in Miami Vice, Troy
Donahue and friends were headquartered on a houseboat
crusading to keep Miami crime-free. When a hated
dictator, living in exile in Miami, is murdered during a
birthday party for his son, Lt. Snedigar thinks he has an
open-and-shut case against Pepe the Clown, who performed
at the party. But Pepe insists he was not at the party
and Dave has to prove to the skeptical policeman someone
else went to the party in Pepe's costume.
8:00am Hawaiian Eye #1 - Total Eclipse
They called it "77 Sunset Strip of Hawaii" as a trio of
detectives found intrigue and adventure on the exotic
islands of Hawaii. In this episode Jean Morgan hires
Tracy to find solid proof of her innocence while her
stepson, Tony Morgan hires Tom to find conclusive proof of
her guilt.
9:00am FBI #3 - The Monster
Based on actual F.B.I. cases and told with full Bureau
cooperation, this exciting series focuses on true stores
of counterfeiting, extortion and organized crime. In this
episode, case file #76-3342-J- Francis Jerome - Escaped
Federal Prisoner.
10:00am Harry O #38 - Past Imperfect
David Janssen stars as Harry Orwell, an ex-policeman
pensioned from the force after an injury and now solving
only cases that interest him. Harry's girl-next-door is
none other than Farrah Fawcett. In this episode, a
woman's former boyfriend returns from prison and wants the
old suitcase he left with her, which he claims is worth
$300,000.
11:00am Spenser For Hire - #18 In A Safe Place
Before Law & Order, before CSI, there was Spenser for
Hire, starring TV favorite Robert Urich, which spun off no
less than four made-for-TV movies. Spenser and Susan look
for a Mexican labor organizer who has suspiciously
disappeared.
12:00pm Love, Sidney #1 - Surprise Party (SERIES FINALE)
Tony Randall stars as a middle-aged commercial artist who
helps raise his best friend's daughter. In this episode,
an opera star agrees to perform at Patti's birthday party,
mercifully replacing Sidney's terrible clown act.
12:30pm The Hogan Family - #54 Animal House (SEASON FOUR PREMIERE)
It's the family-friendly series that launched the career

firefighters. It's September 21, 2001 and the squads
continue to battle through their emotions and their
misgivings about their hero status, while working double
shifts and spending every free moment at "the pile"
searching for the missing. Kim returns to work and teams
up with Doc, which allows an emotionally frayed Alex to
return to paramedic duty; an exhausted Sully attempts to
co-exist with his prospective in-laws while he waits for

Tom's eccentric sister, Auntie V, returns for another
visit with the Bradfords and surprises Tom and Abby with a

by going on a cruise with Auntie V meanwhile she falls for
the estate agent who is trying to sell the Bradford house.

10:00pm JR Returns: A Reunion Movie
Dallas was one of the longest-running primetime soaps in
TV history. Years after J.R. Ewing lost Ewing Oil and
apparently committed suicide, we learn that he is alive
and well. He returns to Dallas, and plots what could be
his greatest scheme: Bringing his family back together and
regaining control of Ewing Oil from arch-enemy Cliff
Barnes. Will he be successful?
12:00am Dallas #54 - A House Divided
This is the second highest-rated television program of all
time, which posed the question, "Who shot J.R.?" The
cartel members and J.R.'s banker are financially ruined
after the nationalization of the Asian fields. Seth Stone,
one of the cartel members, kills himself. J.R. threatens
to drive Kristin and Alan Beam out of town and he wants to
put Sue Ellen back into the sanitarium. Pam and Bobby
leave Dallas when Bobby learns that J.R. shut down an oil
field to stop Cliff from having his revenge based on an
agreement between Digger and Jock which Cliff has found
among Digger's papers. Then as the episode draws to a
close, J.R. is shot.
1:00am Knots Landing #1 - (PILOT)
Running 14 years, Knots Landing is one of the longest-
running dramas in television history. Gary and Val move
to their new home in Knots Landing that Miss Ellie Bought
for them, and then get acquainted with their new
neighbors. Sid's 18-year-old rebellious daughter from a
previous marriage, Annie, is visiting the Fairgates and is
causing havoc among the family. Val attempts to fix
Annie's relationship with her father.
2:00am Falcon Crest #69 - Requiem
At first light, Melissa and Cole wait at the rescue base
as the helicopters arrive with the survivors of the
crashed plane. Angela disembarks, relaying the news that
Philip Erikson is dead. The co-pilot and Michael Ranson
were also killed in the crash. Richard insists that the
cartel was responsible for the crash, while Chase
maintains it was sabotage.

K.C. are kidnapped by the Viet Cong and taken underground
into a warren of tunnels, where their captors expect
McMurphy to operate on their wounded leader.
7:00am La Femme Nikita #88 - Four Light Years Further
In this series based on the French film, Peta Wilson stars
as a reluctant government assassin whose life is
controlled by a mysterious agency. Michael and Nikita
have been traveling from place to place, keeping one step
ahead of Section One's attempts to find them. When George
is eliminated from the picture after leaking intel to Red
Cell in order to discredit Section One, the newly-
empowered Operations and Madeline finally track down
Michael and Nikita.
