Bordentown City, Nj; Greenville, Al; Ellenville, Ny; and MT. Horeb, Wi -- Will Be Celebrated in Upcoming Episodes of ABC's "My Kind of Town"

[via press release from ABC]

BORDENTOWN CITY, NJ; GREENVILLE, AL; ELLENVILLE, NY; AND MT. HOREB, WI -- WILL BE CELEBRATED IN UPCOMING EPISODES OF ABC'S "MY KIND OF TOWN"

Residents Will Be Brought to NYC for Tapings and the Chance to Win a Fabulous Prize

The first four towns to be celebrated in "My Kind of Town," ABC's new comedic reality series, are: Bordentown City, New Jersey; Greenville, Alabama; Ellenville, New York; and Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin. Residents of each town will be brought to New York City to attend the tapings, participate in the show and possibly win a fantastic prize. The hour-long series, hosted by London TV and radio sensation Johnny Vaughan, will spotlight a different town every week and will debut later this summer. Three more cities will be announced at a later date; the initial series episode order is seven.

New York City taping dates are:

Saturday, July 16 - Bordentown City, NJ
Saturday, July 30 - Greenville, AL
Saturday, August 6 - Ellenville, NY
Saturday, August 13 - Mt. Horeb, WI

"We selected these small towns from a field of hundreds because we instantly fell in love with them and think our viewers will too. These towns have unique qualities and extraordinary, memorable people that we believe will transcend universally," says executive producer Michael Davies ("Who Wants to be a Millionaire").

"My Kind of Town" is a relentlessly energetic primetime studio show in which real American people, in all of their imperfect and awkward glory, have the chance to become the stars of their own show for one memorable night. Each week a lucky handful of residents selected from among the townspeople in the audience will participate in individualized comedic games and gags for prizes tailored to their own lives, interests and needs. One person from the group is chosen to play the big end game, where they will shoulder the burden of either winning or losing a huge prize for the other audience members - all of whom they will see every day for the rest of their lives. No pressure!

This variety/comedy hybrid promises big atmosphere and energy, emotional wish-fulfillment, unexpected twists, laugh-out-loud comedy and the occasional celebrity.

"My Kind of Town" is produced by Pressure Productions, a joint venture between Embassy Row and Monkey.
