MONDAY EDITION OF "ROCK STAR: INXS" ON THE MOVE
New Episodes of Reality Edition of "Rock Star" Moving to VH1 as Part of an Agreement Between CBS, VH1 and Mark Burnett Productions
VH1 Will Also Repurpose Encores of CBS's Tuesday Performance-Driven Broadcasts and Wednesday Elimination Episodes
The Monday edition of CBS's summer reality series ROCK STAR: INXS will move to Sundays on VH1as part of an agreement between CBS, VH1 and Mark Burnett Productions.
This edition, which features the reality aspect of the thrice weekly series including interaction among aspiring singers and competition for song selection, will premiere on VH1 Sunday, Aug. 7 (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT).
CBS will continue to broadcast the one-hour Tuesday performance driven edition and half-hour Wednesday performance/elimination show.
The Tuesday performance-driven edition of ROCK STAR: INXS has averaged 6.18 million viewers while winning its 10:00-11:00 PM time period in adults 18-34 (2.5/08), adults 18-49 (3.0/08) and adults 25-54 (3.4/09).
As part of the agreement, VH1 will also repurpose encores of both the Tuesday and Wednesday editions beginning Saturday, Aug. 13.
ROCK STAR: INXS is produced by Mark Burnett Productions. Mark Burnett, David Goffin, ("American Idol") Lisa Hennessy ("Eco-Challenge") and INXS managers David Edwards and Michael Murchison are executive producers. Conrad Riggs is co-executive producer.
