Netflix's record-setting NFL coverage is expanding in a major way in 2026 and beyond, with additional games, holidays, rivalries, and more starting in Week 1 and continuing through Super Bowl week.

Week 1 of the upcoming NFL season will feature the league's first-ever regular season game in Australia on Sept. 10 - between divisional rivals the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers - that will air on Netflix live from the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Heading into the holiday season, Netflix will add the NFL's first-ever Thanksgiving Eve game on Nov. 25 to its plate, featuring the Green Bay Packers visiting the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium.

Continuing the Christmas Day tradition, Netflix will again air two games on Dec. 25 at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT and 4:30 p.m. ET / 1:30 p.m. PT. Last year, Netflix's Christmas Day broadcast of the Detroit Lions versus the Minnesota Vikings was the most-streamed NFL regular season game in US history.

New for this NFL season is a Week 18 game on Netflix at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT on Saturday, Jan. 9, the final weekend of the regular season, with playoffs on the line.

Netflix's NFL games in 2026 will be available in over 200 countries around the world. These games will also be available on local, over-the-air broadcast television in the respective team markets.

In addition to the on-field action this season, Netflix will also stream the NFL Honors globally, showcasing the league's annual awards presentation the week of the Super Bowl.

Netflix will now be a part of the entire NFL season from September through February at the Super Bowl every year.

Under Netflix and the NFL's four-year partnership extension through the 2029-2030 season, Netflix will stream a Week 1 game, a Thanksgiving Eve match-up, one Christmas Day game, a Week 18 regular season finale game, and the NFL Honors.

More NFL on Netflix

Netflix continues to bolster its NFL content, headlined by the July 14 return of the documentary series Quarterback this season featuring Jayden Daniels, Baker Mayfield, Cam Ward, and Joe Flacco.

The Dallas Cowboys' legacy is explored through two lenses: the high-stakes auditions in America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and the 1990s dynasty chronicled in America's Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys.

Rounding out the collection is the Emmy-nominated Elway, highlighting John Elway's legendary transition from Hall of Fame quarterback to Denver Broncos general manager.

Netflix live sports

Recent sporting events on Netflix include the World Baseball Classic in Japan, MLB Opening Night between the New York Yankees and the San Francisco Giants, the Tyson Fury versus Arslanbek Makhmudov bout in the United Kingdom and WWE Raw live weekly on Netflix.

On May 16, combat legends Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano face off in a highly-anticipated fight, Netflix's first mixed martial arts broadcast.

In the summers of 2027 and 2031, Netflix will exclusively broadcast the FIFA Women's World Cup in the United States and Canada and recently announced a deal with Concacaf in Mexico.
