MTV Outlines Its Fall Premieres, Finales & More
By Brian Ford Sullivan (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- MTV is gearing up for its most aggressive fall push to date as the cable channel has detailed its first volley of premieres, finales and specials for the 2005-06 season.

Here's a night-by-night breakdown of what to expect in the coming months:

MONDAYS - The sophomore season of "My Super Sweet 16" is set to wrap on October 10 at 10:30/9:30c with newcomer "Miss Seventeen" (previously known as "Project Seventeen") taking over the slot on October 17. Said project chronicles Seventeen magazine's annual search for "America's Sweetheart." The following week on October 24 at 10:00/9:00c, look for "Laguna Beach" to close its second season, after which the 11th edition of "The Real World/Road Rules Challenge" (subtitled: "The Gauntlet 2: Veterans vs. Rookies") will bow on October 31.

TUESDAYS - The 16th season of "The Real World" will continue to anchor the network's Tuesday lineup through November. Current lead-out "The '70s House" however will finish its inaugural run on September 6 at 10:30/9:30c while newbie "The Reality Show" takes over the half-hour on September 13. "Reality" features viewers who think their life is interesting enough to make into a reality series.

WEDNESDAYS - The recently launched "Trailer Fabulous" is on track to run through October 5, after which "Made" will return for another brief four-week run on October 12. Also keep an eye out for a special Angelina Jolie episode of "Diary" on Wednesday, September 14 (exact time TBA).

THURSDAYS - The newly remonikered Diddy returns for another season of "Making the Band 3" on October 6, where he'll take over the 10:00/9:00c half-hour from "Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'N Out" (which wraps the week prior). Meanwhile, look for "Run's House," featuring ex-RUN-DMC member Reverend Run, to launch on October 13 at 10:30/9:30c.

SUNDAYS - An all-new season of the "Sunday Night Stew" is set to bow on October 23 with "Pimp My Ride," "Viva La Bam" and "Punk'd" all returning with fresh installments. Getting the boot however is "The Andy Milonakis Show," which will be replaced by another newcomer "Call to Greatness." The half-hour series tracks five guys as they cross the country challenging world-record holders for their titles. Among the stunts: seeing if they can top chewing gum guru Susan Montgomery Williams's record of a 23-inch diameter bubble. A preview special featuring all four shows will also air on October 16 (exact time TBA).

And that's not all believe it or not as more premieres are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
