NEW YORK, August 24, 2005-Veteran daytime TV producer Paul Faulhaber was named executive producer of NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution's long running hit syndicated daytime talk show "Maury," hosted by Maury Povich, it was announced today by Linda Finnell, Senior Vice President, Programming and Development, NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution.

Most recently, Faulhaber was co-executive producer of "Maury," serving under executive producer Amy Rosenblum. Rosenblum was recently named senior producer of NBC Universal's "Today." She will also be a consultant for "Maury."

"Paul's extensive experience producing daytime television, coupled with his excellent leadership skills and long and successful track record at 'Maury' make him the perfect choice to lead us into our eighth season," says Finnell.

Faulhaber added, "Maury is one of the best in the business and I am thrilled to be at the helm of NBC Universal's top-rated show in daytime. I am looking forward to continuing on our successful path of dealing with topics that are both relevant and compelling."

Povich said, "Paul has been a very integral part of the success of this program. We are energized about the upcoming season and I feel confident that under Paul's leadership we will continue to grow the show and further expand our audience."

Before joining "Maury," Faulhaber was a producer on many daytime talk shows throughout the 1990's, including "Montel," "The Gordon Elliott Show," and "The Gayle King Show."
