[via press release from The WB]

THE WB'S SUPERNATURAL & YAHOO! ENTERTAINMENT GIVE USERS AN EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK OF THIS HIGHLY ANTICIPATED FALL SERIES FROM WARNER BROS. TELEVISION PRODUCTIONS

Burbank, CA September 6, 2005

The WB Television Network and Warner Bros. Television Production have partnered with Yahoo! Inc., a leading global Internet company, to provide a sneak-peek of the highly-anticipated new series, &ldquoSupernatural, on Yahoo! TV. The Supernatural web cast will be available in its entirety on Yahoo! TV (http://tv.yahoo.com) to anyone in the United States with internet access for streaming beginning at 9:00 pm EST/6:00 pm PST on Tuesday, September 6th through Monday, September 12th. The show premieres on The WB at 9/8c on September 13th.

To get the largest possible audience to the launch of Supernatural on The WB, Yahoo! will provide a great deal of information on the series, its broadcast and online premiere throughout the entire Yahoo! network, including the Yahoo!'s home page, the Web's most trafficked page, and on Yahoo! TV where the show debuts September 6th.

Supernatural is so good that we believe its best selling point is the show itself. We've put this massive promotion and special sneak-peak together with Yahoo! Entertainment so the broadest possible audience has a chance to view it, said Garth Ancier, Chairman of The WB.

This promotion on Yahoo! will help us generate tremendous buzz on the internet and great word-of-mouth for the series, said David Janollari, President of Entertainment for The WB. Yahoo! has designed an unprecedented promotion across their entire service to break through the clutter of other media and help reach the savvy young viewing audience that we know will embrace Supernatural.

This program from The WB is one of the most highly anticipated shows of the Fall season and we're excited to be able to offer this exclusive premiere, said David Katz, Head of Sports and Entertainment, Yahoo!. We think it will be a natural fit with our loyal online fans.

Yahoo! has already found great success in offering exclusive made-for-television programming to its users. Earlier this year, Yahoo! worked with Showtime to offer simultaneous online and broadcast premieres of the cable network's series Fat Actress. With Yahoo!'s support, the series was Showtime's highest rated series debut in five years and was the highest rated original series telecast on the cable network in more than a year. Yahoo! TV garnered equally massive numbers. The online version of the show drew the largest viewing audience for any piece of media in the history of Yahoo! TV.

Supernatural has earned some early critical raves from across the country and is expected to get a great deal more when reviewers file their stories closer to the broadcast premiere on Tuesday, September 13th. Those early notices include;

WB's Supernatural has breakout potential.

Andrew Wallenstein, Hollywood Reporter

Another WB series worth checking out is a cool paranormal adventure called Supernatural, which brings the network back to its Buffy heritage.

Melanie McFarland, Seattle Post-Intelligencer

...truly scary a rarity for TV ....

Brook Barnes, Wall Street Journal

...a scary hour...

Rick Kushman, The Sacramento Bee

Supernatural, a road show that's sort of X-Files meets Route 66, discovering inexplicable creatures and evil supernatural phenomena in a new town each week, is the most promising hour on The WB's fall schedule.

Joanne Ostrow, Rocky Mountain News

The WB is serving up the willies in the guise of Supernatural...

Melanie McFarland, Seattle Post-Intelligencer

Supernatural should be a hit among fans of the title's genre.

Michael Storey, Arkansas Democrat Gazette

Supernatural, on The WB, is a superior cheap thrill.

Vogue
