THE CAST OF "HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER" TO APPEAR AT ONE OF THE LARGEST SPEED DATING EVENTS IN NEW YORK CITY, THURSDAY SEPT. 29 AT GRAND CENTRAL TERMINAL

Alyson Hannigan, Neil Patrick Harris, Josh Radnor, Jason Segal and Cobie Smulders on Hand for Dating Event Sponsored By PerfectMatch.com

On Thursday, September 29, the entire cast of the new CBS comedy series HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER will be on hand for one of the largest speed dating events in New York City when they join the hustling commuter crowd in Grand Central Terminal's Vanderbilt Hall. Hosted by "Survivor" winners and dating couple Ethan Zohn and Jenna Morasca, the event is sponsored by PerfectMatch.com.

The speed dating event will take place during the heart of rush hour (5:00 PM-7:30 PM) -- giving single commuters the opportunity to decide if they want to miss their next train for the chance to meet their perfect match at Grand Central Terminal's famed Vanderbilt Hall. The normally bustling rail terminal will be transformed into a romantic but fun setting by incorporating cocktail tables with red linens, sleek black chairs, red votives and lush florals.

In an online component on CBS.com produced by PerfectMatch.com, consumers can play a HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER perfect match game by answering personality questions to find out which of the shows' characters they are most compatible with. After participating, consumers will get the opportunity to find their "real" perfect match on PerfectMatch.com.

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER stars Alyson Hannigan ("American Pie, "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer"), Neil Patrick Harris ("Doogie Howser, M.D."), Jason Segel ("Freaks and Geeks"), Josh Radnor ("The Court") and Cobie Smulders ("Veritas"). The series is broadcast Mondays (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
