[via press release from UPN]

UPN AND GOOGLE TO OFFER STREAMING VIDEO OF "EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS" PREMIERE

In a first for both companies, UPN and Google will exclusively screen the critically-acclaimed series premiere of EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS for four days on Google Video beginning today, it was announced today by Dawn Ostroff, President, UPN. Viewers can visit http://video.google.com/chris to play the entire pilot episode via streaming video.

"UPN's young adult viewers are avid online users, and streaming the premiere episode of EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS on Google Video is the perfect opportunity to reach this audience in a new and creative way," said Ostroff. "Everyone at UPN is very excited about this innovative relationship with Google, which offers viewers who may have missed the premiere the chance to watch it and hopefully motivate them to watch the second episode on UPN."

"This is the first time Google users can watch an episode of a brand new television show on Google Video," said Susan Wojcicki, vice president, Product Management, Google Inc. "We're pleased to be working with UPN on the EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS premiere to provide users with this unique online viewing experience."

We are very excited about working closely with Google in a new way that benefits both of us and our respective audiences, said Larry Kramer, President, CBS Digital Media. We think this promotional opportunity is going to get a lot of attention for both entities and really help to further build awareness of UPNs series EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS.

EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS premiered to record-setting ratings on UPN on Thursday, Sept. 22. Not only was EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS the most-watched episode of any comedy series in the history of UPN, but also it beat NBCs Joey and Foxs The OC from 8:00-8:30 PM in total viewers and in the key advertising demographic of Adults 18-49. Additionally, EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS won its time period in Adults 18-49 in several key markets, including New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C., and ranked second in other major markets, including Los Angeles, Chicago and Philadelphia.

Inspired by his childhood experiences, comedian Chris Rock narrates UPN's new single-camera comedy EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS, the hilarious, touching story of a teenager growing up as the eldest of three children in Brooklyn, New York during the early 1980's. Uprooted to a new neighborhood and bused into a predominantly white middle school two-hours away by his strict, hard-working parents, Chris (Tyler James Williams) struggles to find his place while keeping his siblings in line at home and surmounting the challenges of junior high. This responsible, resilient adolescent brings a distinct, funny spin to his everyday trials and traumas.

EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS is a production of Chris Rock Enterprises, Inc., in association with Paramount Network Television. Co-creator and narrator Chris Rock ("Head of State"), co-creator and writer Ali LeRoi ("Head of State"), Howard Gewirtz ("Oliver Beene"), Michael Rotenberg ("The Chris Rock Show") and Dave Becky ("The Hugleys") are executive producers. The show airs Thursdays (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT) on UPN.

UPN is part of CBS Television, a unit of Viacom Inc. (NYSE: VIA and VIA.B).
