FROM THE ENORMOUSLY POPULAR "CSI" FRANCHISE COMES THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED DVD RELEASE OF ONE OF TV'S MOST THRILLING CRIME DRAMAS

Starring Academy Award Nominee* Gary Sinise and Emmy Award Nominee Melina Kanakaredes

24 Episodes from the First Season of the Hit Crime Drama Debuts on DVD October 18th from CBS DVD and Paramount Home Entertainment Loaded with Behind-the-Scenes Bonus Features

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. Watched by 15 million viewers weekly, one of last season's hottest new TV shows debuts on DVD for the first time this fall. Season One of CSI: NY arrives in stores on October 18. This CBS DVD and Paramount Home Entertainment special release is packed with exclusive, behind-the-scenes featurettes and audio commentaries.

From award-winning film and television producer Jerry Bruckheimer (Armageddon, Pirates of the Caribbean), this third installment of the immensely popular CSI franchise stars Gary Sinise (Forrest Gump, Truman) and Melina Kanakaredes ("Providence") as the forensic investigators who use high-tech science to follow the evidence and solve crimes in the Big Apple.

Detective Mac Taylor (Sinise) is a dedicated and driven crime scene investigator who believes that everything is connected and for everyone there is a story. He and his partner, Detective Stella Bonasera (Kanakaredes), a workaholic and a jack-of-all-trades, share a passion for the job. They lead a team of experts amid the gritty and kinetic streets of New York.

Their team includes Danny Messer (Carmine Giovinazzo, Black Hawk Down), a Brooklyn-born investigator with rugged good looks, an unflappable spirit and a colorful family history, and Dr. Sheldon Hawkes (Hill Harper, He Got Game), the crime lab's former coroner, a brilliant Ph.D. who recently made the transition to the field team. Joining them is homicide detective Don Flack (Eddie Cahill, Miracle), an edgy, hardcore investigator with a quick wit, impressive forensic insight and a long family history in law enforcement. Rounding out the team is Aiden Burn (Vanessa Ferlito, Spider-Man 2), a smart and sexy investigator whose chameleon-like behavior allows her to adapt to any. These skilled investigators, who see New York City in a whole different light, follow the evidence as they piece together clues that will ultimately crack their cases.

CSI: NY is a seven-disc collector's set including all 24 hour-long episodes from the first season. Presented in 16:9 Widescreen Format, featuring 5.1 English Surround and Spanish Stereo Surround, the DVDs are closed-captioned with a runtime of 16 hours and 51 minutes. Available for an SRP of $65.99 U.S., CSI: NY is a must-own for fans. Consumers can save $20 by mail with the purchase of CSI Season 5, CSI: Miami Season 3 and CSI: NY.
