NBC ORDERS 'CONVICTION,' NEW LEGAL DRAMA SERIES FROM DICK WOLF, FOR MID-SEASON 2005-06

13-Episode Drama Concerning Young District Attorneys Under Fire to be Filmed Entirely in New York for Wolf Films and NBC Universal Television Studio

BURBANK - October 6, 2005 - NBC has ordered "Conviction," a new legal drama series from Emmy Award winner Dick Wolf ("Law & Order"-brand series) and NBC Universal Television Studio for mid-season 2005-06, it was announced today by Kevin Reilly, President, NBC Entertainment.

"Conviction" is a fast-paced, character-oriented story focusing on young assistant district attorneys in New York who are confronted with tough, high-profile cases that challenge their limited experience -- and force them to mature quickly or be overwhelmed. The series will be shot entirely in New York and the first-season order will be 13 episodes. Casting will be announced at a later date.

"This new drama series from Dick Wolf is a high-octane rush that will take the popular legal genre to the next level and offer stories crafted by a veteran storyteller and his creative team," said Reilly.

The series was created by Dick Wolf. The pilot is being written by Walon Green ("Law & Order") and Rick Eid ("Law & Order: Trial by Jury," "The Guardian").

"Conviction is a Wolf Films production in association with NBC Universal Television Studio. Dick Wolf, Walon Green, Rick Eid and Peter Jankowski are the executive producers.
