Kristin Cavallari ("Laguna Beach") and Ethan Erickson ("Extra") To Host The Show and Special Events Firm Harrison & Shriftman To Lend Their Expertise

UPN cameras will capture the drama, emotion and excitement each week as an elite team of party planners to the stars, led by special events coordinator Lara Shriftman of Harrison & Shriftman along with hosts Kristin Cavallari and Ethan Erickson, work with one special individual's friends and family to surprise their well-deserving loved one with a very spectacular and extravagant event in their honor. From the hottest clubs, celebrity guests, and trendiest style-makers all over the country, nothing will be spared to make these dreams come true, in "GET THIS PARTY STARTED," a new reality show on UPN.

Honoring every aspect of life's celebrations, including birthdays, engagements, weddings, and the like, everyday people who have sacrificed for their loved ones, suffered a tragedy or have hit a milestone in their lives will be given the VIP treatment as they are thrown the ultimate bash never to be forgotten. Filled with unexpected twists and turns, these individuals will share their incredible stories as they are treated to a variety of life-changing surprises and gifts.

Kristin Cavallari most recently starred in the hit reality series "Laguna Beach." Cavallari has been acting since the age of 7, and has appeared in numerous commercials and ad campaigns. She is currently taking acting classes and is continuing to expand her acting career. A native of Laguna Beach, Calif., Cavallari currently resides there as well as in Marina Del Ray, Calif.

Ethan Erickson was a correspondent for the syndicated entertainment show "Extra." In addition, he hosted an episode of the series "Coming Attractions," "GPS Adventures" and "Ethan's Date." For television, Erickson has had recurring roles on "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" and "Step By Step" as well as guest-starred on "Joey," "Friends," "Glory Days," "Beverly Hills 90210," and the daytime series "The Guiding Light" and "General Hospital." Known as the voice of Southwest Airlines, Erickson does a variety of voice-over work and commercials. He has appeared in the features "Jawbreaker" and "The In Crowd" along with the independent films "Dorian," "Burn," "Two Bits & Pepper," "Love & The Art of Destiny," "Fear Runs Silent" and "New Testament." On stage, Erickson has starred in productions of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," "Here We Are" and "McKensie & Co."

Lara Shriftman and Elizabeth Harrison are co-presidents of Harrison & Shriftman, a prestigious publicity, special events and marketing company that builds brands in the fashion, lifestyle, film, publishing and entertainment industries. Harrison & Shriftman provides their high-profile clients with original ideas, customized service and personal attention through memorable product promotions, dynamic special events and increased public awareness. The company has offices in New York, Los Angeles and Miami, with activities that extend throughout the country including the Hamptons, Las Vegas and sites of major film festivals. Shriftman and her partner have written two books on producing fun and fabulous events, F�te Accompli! The Ultimate Guide To Creative Entertaining and F�te Accompli! Workbook, The Ultimate Party Planning Guide. Their third book, Party Confidential, focusing on high-end parties and how to make them at home, will be released in September 2006. Touted as experts in numerous lifestyle publications, the company's special events division has produced many highly publicized events, including movie premieres, product launches, fashion shows and charity events.

Emmy Award-winning producer Allison Grodner ("Big Brother") will serve as executive producer of the series.
