DAVE RAMSEY, THE INSPIRING AND PASSIONATE PERSONAL FINANCE COACH, SIGNS PILOT DEAL WITH THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

Emmy Award-Winning/Academy Award Nominee R.J. Cutler Will Also Executive Produce

CBS has ordered a reality series pilot from Dave Ramsey, the inspiring and passionate personal finance coach/radio host/best-selling author, who will produce and star in the project. THE DAVE RAMSEY PROJECT (working title) will utilize his unique and infectious approach to help families analyze and understand their dismal financial state to then take steps to get themselves out of debt.

Dave Ramsey, a personal money management expert who hosts his own nationally syndicated radio show and is a best-selling author, will advise and guide select families through the steps needed to re-establish their financial stability. Ramsey's enthusiastic approach has taught millions of listeners and readers.

"Dave Ramsey has the potential to be a true force on the television screen, combining a dynamic and inspiring persona with knowledge and expertise of how to make a difference in someone's life," said Nina Tassler, President, CBS Entertainment. "It's a distinct and relatable concept from a very charismatic on-screen personality who engages his guests and audience with his own unique style and flare."

Ramsey's expertise stems from his own riches-to-rags-to-riches story. By age 26, he had established a $4 million real estate portfolio which he lost by the age of 30. He has since rebuilt his own financial life and now devotes himself to helping ordinary people understand the forces behind their financial distress. THE DAVE RAMSEY PROJECT (working title) is designed to teach valuable financial lessons to the families on his show while also sharing his wisdom with the viewing public.

Dave Ramsey has teamed with Emmy Award-winning /Academy Award nominee R.J. Cutler to executive produce THE DAVE RAMSEY PROJECT. Cutler's previous credits include television's "Black/White," "30 Days," "American High," and "Freshman Diaries." His film credits include "The War Room," "A Perfect Candidate" and "Thin."

In addition to his pilot deal at CBS, Ramsey has also signed an agreement with CBS Paramount Domestic Television to develop a syndicated series.
