'SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE' SCORES ITS TOP NUMBERS SINCE FEBRUARY
THE MAY 6 EDITION, HOSTED BY TOM HANKS AND FEATURING MUSICAL GUEST RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS, BEATS ALL SATURDAY PRIMETIME NON-SPORTS TELECASTS ON ALL NETWORKS FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON
BURBANK, Calif. -� May 11, 2005 -� On May 6, "Saturday Night Live," hosted by Tom Hanks and featuring musical guest Red Hot Chili Peppers dominated its time period with a 3.4 rating, 14 share in 18-49 and 7.3 million viewers overall. These are the strongest "SNL" results since Feb. 4 (host Steve Martin and musical guest Prince).
Versus the same night last year, "SNL" was up 6 percent in 18-49 rating (3.4 vs. 3.2) and up 4 percent in total viewers (7.255 million vs. 7.005 million).
"SNL's" 3.4 rating in 18-49 last week beat every Saturday primetime network telecast on every network through the entire 2005-06 season, excluding sports.
