LISA GUERRERO JOINS INSIDE EDITION AS A WEST COAST CORRESPONDENT
Reporter Will Be Based in Los Angeles Bureau
New York, NY - June 15, 2006 � Lisa Guerrero joins Inside Edition as a West Coast
Correspondent in the newsmagazine's Los Angeles Bureau, it was announced today by
Executive Producer Charles Lachman.
Guerrero, a 14-year broadcasting vet, is best known for her 2003 stint as a sideline
reporter for ABC�s Monday Night Football. Over the course of her career, she has
covered some of the biggest sports and entertainment events on television, including the
Academy Awards, Golden Globes, Super Bowl, World Series and NBA Finals. She also
covered the World and National Figure Skating Championships and hosted the National
Broadcast of the Tournament of Roses Parade for ABC.
�Lisa is an accomplished and polished reporter and I think she�ll make a significant
contribution to our team,� said Lachman.
Guerrero will be covering entertainment and news stories for Inside Edition, which is
about to enter its 19th season as the most honored, longest running and highest-rated
syndicated newsmagazine on the air. Her first story, covering the Los Angeles premiere
of Superman Returns, will air on Thursday, June 22.
�I couldn�t be happier to be a part of the Inside Edition team and I�m ready to hit the
ground running,� Guerrero said.
A former co-host of the weekend edition of EXTRA, Guerrero was also the update anchor for The Best Damn Sports Show Period on Fox Sports Net. She traveled to Egypt with anchor Hugh Downs as the reporter for the Fox special Live From Egypt: Opening the Tombs of the Golden Mummies.
The Los Angeles Times called her �the hardest working person in sports� and The
Hispanic Business Journal named her one of the 100 most influential Hispanics in
America. In October 2003, President Bush asked Guerrero to host the Hispanic Heritage
Month banquet at The White House.
Guerrero is married to Major League Baseball pitcher, Scott Erickson. They currently
divide their time between homes in Lake Tahoe, NV and Malibu, CA.
Inside Edition is ranked in the top 10 first-run syndicated programs, a distinction it has
held in every sweeps period since February 1989 and is produced by King World
