CBS EXTENDS ITS SUMMER WINNING STREAK TO FIVE WEEKS

"Without a Trace," "CSI: Miami" and "CSI" Are the Week's Top Scripted Series

The Finale of "Gameshow Marathon" Wins Its Time Period in Viewers and Key Demographics

CBS extended its summer winning streak in total viewers to five weeks with six of the top 10 programs of the week including the top three scripted programs -- WITHOUT A TRACE, CSI: MIAMI and CSI, in the week ending July 2, week five of the 2006 summer season.

For the week in viewers, CBS (7.38m) topped FOX (6.20m), NBC (5.81m) and ABC (4.33m). Summer-to-date in viewers, CBS (7.99m) leads NBC (6.38m), FOX (5.99m) and ABC (5.70m).

For the week in households, CBS (5.0/09) was +25% ahead of FOX (4.0/07), +28% ahead of NBC (3.9/07) and +67% ahead of ABC (3.0/05). Summer-to-date, CBS (5.5/10) leads NBC (4.2/08) by +31%, FOX (3.9/07) by +41% and ABC (3.8/07) by +45%.

For the week in key demographics, CBS was second in adults 25-54 (2.5/08) and adults 18-49 (2.0/07). Summer-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (2.7/08) followed by NBC (2.6/07), FOX (2.5/07) and ABC (2.3/07).

� CSI: MIAMI (R) won its time period in households (7.3/12), viewers (10.78m), adults 25-54 (3.8/10) and adults 18-49 (3.2/09). CSI: MIAMI was the night's Number One program in households, viewers and adults 25-54 (tied with "Hell's Kitchen").

� CSI: NY (R) was first in viewers (9.19m), adults 25-54 (3.2/09), adults 18-49 (2.6/08), adults 18-34 (1.8/06) and tied for first in households (6.0/10, with NBC).

� GAMESHOW MARATHON THURSDAY was first in households (4.7/09), viewers (6.83m), adults 25-54 (2.2/07) and adults 18-49 (1.7/06). GAMESHOW MARATHON THURSDAY won its time slot in households and viewers every week it aired and won its time period in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 for the second consecutive week.

� CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (R) was first in households (7.3/13), viewers (10.57m), tied for first in adults 25-54 (3.6/10, with FOX) and second in adults 18-49 (2.9/09), behind FOX's first run programming.

� WITHOUT A TRACE (R) (10:01-11:00PM) was first in households (7.4/13), viewers (10.87m), adults 25-54 (3.5/10) and adults 18-49 (2.9/09). WITHOUT A TRACE beat NBC's first run "Windfall" by +124% in households (vs. 3.3/06), +130% in viewers (vs. 4.73m), +59% in adults 25-54 (vs. 2.2/06) and +45% in adults 18-49 (vs. 2.0/06).

� CBS SUNDAY MOVIE "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" (R) (9:00-11:30PM) posted a 5.5/10 with 8.39m viewers, 3.1/09 in adults 25-54 and 2.7/09 in adults 18-49. CBS was first from 9:00-11:00PM in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. Compared to the original broadcast of "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Day" on 3/12/06, this encore presentation was up +10% in households (from 5.0/08), +7% in adults 25-54 (from 2.9/06), +13% in adults 18-49 (from 2.4/06) and added +1.03m viewers (from 7.36m, +14%).
