FOX TO HOLD NATIONWIDE AUDITIONS FOR TROPHY PRESENTERS AT "TEEN CHOICE 2006" AIRING SUNDAY, AUGUST 20, ON FOX

JCPenney Serves as Exclusive Presenter of the "Teen Choice 2006 Casting Call" Contest

FOX and JCPenney are searching nationwide for a guy and a girl to be on stage and hand out the surfboard trophies at TEEN CHOICE 2006 airing live Sunday, Aug. 20 (8:00-10:00 PM ET Live/PT Tape-Delayed) on FOX, following an advance look at the glitz and glamour of the event during a hot red carpet special Sunday, Aug. 20 (7:30�8:00 PM ET Live/PT Tape-Delayed).

The "Teen Choice 2006 Casting Call" contest runs now through Wednesday, July 26. Each winner will receive a four-day/three-night trip to Los Angeles for him- or herself and two guests to attend the eighth annual TEEN CHOICE and the post-show VIP party.

FOX and JCPenney will host "Teen Choice 2006 Casting Call" booths at locations across the country beginning Saturday, July 8. At each booth, teens will have the opportunity to have a digital photo taken with a Teen Choice surfboard, which can be used as the official photographic entry. Teens will retrieve their photos at www.fox.com/teenchoice. From there, they can click on the "Casting Call" section to download the official rules and entry form.

"Teen Choice 2006 Casting Call" booths are scheduled at the following locations:

To enter the "Teen Choice 2006 Casting Call" contest, 13-19-year-olds should send a color photo of themselves and either a) download and complete the online entry form located at www.fox.com/teenchoice/castingcall; or b) answer the following questions on an 8_ x11" piece of paper:

� Why do you want to be a trophy presenter at TEEN CHOICE?

� What star would you like to hang with at TEEN CHOICE?

� What star's style is most like your own?

� What would people be surprised to learn about you?

All entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges, who will select one male and one female to hand out the coveted TEEN CHOICE surfboards at TEEN CHOICE 2006.

The first contest winner of the "Claim to Fame" contest, established in 1999, was Jared Padalecki. While at TEEN CHOICE that year, Padalecki was approached by a talent manager, and soon found himself with starring roles on "Supernatural" and "Gilmore Girls." Padalecki could walk away with his own surfboard this year for "Supernatural", which is nominated for Choice Breakout Show.

On TEEN CHOICE 2006, the coolest stars are expected to attend the show and receive coveted Teen Choice Surfboard awards in categories such as Choice Chick Flick, Choice TV Sidekick, Choice Hottie (Male and Female), Choice Comedian and Choice Rock Group. From now until Thursday, Aug. 11, ballots are available on-line at TeenPeople.com, MySpace.com, IGN.com and FOX.com.
