LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC has dropped its summer newcomer "How to Get the Guy," as the network will instead air additional repeats of "Supernanny" in the Monday, 10:00/9:00c hour for the next two weeks.
The special "CMA Music Festival" will then fill the slot on July 24 while the previously announced freshman series "One Ocean View" will take over the hour starting Monday, July 31.
As for "Guy," the show's most recent airing on July 3 averaged a paltry 1.2 rating among adults 18-49 according to preliminary Nielsen numbers. Said number fell behind repeats of "C.S.I.: Miami" on CBS (2.2 rating) and "Medium" (1.3 rating) on NBC, not to mention was off 40% from its "Supernanny" repeat lead-in.
The decision will leave two episodes of the series, which comes from "Queer Eye's" Scout Productions, on the shelf.
