NEW YORK, Oct. 11 -- The N, the nighttime network for teens, has acquired the hit sitcom One on One from CBS Television Distribution Group, it was announced today by Sarah Tomassi Lindman, Vice President, Production and Programming, The N. Hot off the heels of its successful five-year run on UPN (2001-2006), The N has acquired the entire 113 episode library of the series that launched the career of Kyla Pratt (The Proud Family, Love & Basketball). Other guest stars on the series include: Brandy, Eve, Jenny McCarthy, Romeo, Ruben Studdard, Haylie Duff, Chris Brown, Emmanuel Lewis, Smokey Robinson, Omarion, and Charlie Murphy, among others.

The series will make its debut on cable during The N's "Fresh One Weekend," a marathon of the best episodes of One on One and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The marathon will kick off with an evening of 12, back-to back One on One premiere episodes beginning Friday, October 27 at 6:00 p.m. (ET). The "Fresh One Weekend" marathon will run from Friday, October 27 through Sunday, October 29.

One on One will air regularly on The N Monday through Thursday with back- to-back episodes at 7:00 and 11:00 p.m. (ET) beginning Monday, October 30.

"We are sure our teen viewers will love Kyla Pratt and One on One, which was nominated for two NAACP Image Awards" said Lindman. "One on One is a fresh family comedy and will be a great addition to our current line-up."

One on One, the hit comedy from UPN (September 1, 2001 - May 15, 2006), revolves around the intelligent and outspoken Breanna Barnes played by Kyla Pratt. Wherever there is a crowd, Breanna is at the center of the action. After her parents get divorced, Breanna moves in with her sportscaster dad Flex (played by Snakes on a Plane's Flex Alexander), a fun-loving ladies' man who wants to be both a responsible parent and his daughter's best friend. He's happy to give his daughter the freedom to make her own choices, but only if she is willing to accept the consequences. The series follows Breanna from high school in Baltimore to college in Los Angeles where she moves in with her boyfriend and four strangers.

The N, the nighttime network for teens, is a programming arm of MTV Networks and is currently available in 52 million households via cable, digital cable and satellite television.
