THE ABC TELEVISION NETWORK ADDS TWO NEW AFFILIATES

The ABC Television Network has entered into agreements with two new affiliates in Lima, Ohio, and Bend, Oregon, it was announced today by John Rouse, senior vice president of Affiliate Relations for ABC. The two new stations are WLQP in Lima, Ohio and KOHD in Bend, Oregon. The agreement with both stations is effective immediately.

WLQP-TV, based in Lima, Ohio, is owned by Metro Video Productions. Gregory Phipps is the president of WLQP, which was previously a UPN affiliate.

KOHD is operated by Chambers Communications and is a new television station serving the Bend, Oregon area. Scott Chambers is the president of Chambers Communications.

In making the announcement, John Rouse said: We are pleased to expand ABCs coverage in Oregon and Ohio. KOHD and WLQP will help us secure local relationships in both Bend and Lima.

Were thrilled that KOHD is now broadcasting to the people of Central Oregon, said Scott Chambers, president, Chambers Communications. We consider this to be a station that will deliver more local inventory to the area, uphold the areas localism and feature quality programming. We are looking forward to becoming part of the local community and are striving to be the station Central Oregonians turn to for their local ABC shows.

Were very proud to partner with ABC in delivering the best network and local programming to viewers in the Lima area, said Gregory Phipps, president, Metro Video Productions. ABC has become one of the nations top networks over the last few years with excellent programs like Desperate Housewives, Lost, Greys Anatomy and college sports. Were very happy to offer these quality shows to our viewers.

With the addition of these stations, ABC now has 228 affiliates, which includes 10 owned stations.
