BURBANK, Calif. December 14, 2006 NBC earned nine 2007 Golden Globe Award nominations today while the NBC Universal Television Group grabbed a total of 11 including a clean sweep of all the nominations for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series-Comedy or Musical in announcements made early today by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.

In the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series-Comedy or Musical, NBC dominated with Alec Baldwin (30 Rock), Zach Braff (Scrubs), Jason Lee (My Name Is Earl) and Steve Carell (The Office) -- who also won the Golden Globe last year for his performance in the same role and category and was an Emmy nominee last year as well. (Tony Shalhoub of USAs Monk rounded out the five nominees; see related NBC Universal Television Studio release).

Patricia Arquette of NBCs Medium (Wednesdays, 10-11 p.m. ET) was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series-Drama. The actress previously was nominated in 2005 for the same award in the same role and category, and also won an Emmy for her performance.

It is very gratifying to see the work of so many of NBC Universal's artists honored with Golden Globe nominations today," said Jeff Zucker, Chief Executive Officer of the NBC Universal Television Group. "It is a credit to their great work all year, and a tribute to the tremendous quality that so many viewers have come to appreciate."
