BURBANK, Calif. � December 14, 2006 � NBC earned nine 2007 Golden Globe Award nominations today while the NBC Universal Television Group grabbed a total of 11 � including a clean sweep of all the nominations for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series-Comedy or Musical � in announcements made early today by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
In addition, NBC�s new hit drama �Heroes� (Mondays, 9-10 p.m. ET) -- television�s top new hit among total viewers and adults 18-49 � was nominated as Best Television Series- Drama, while the Emmy Award-winning �The Office� (Thursdays, 8:30-9 p.m. ET) was also nominated as Best Television Series-Comedy or Musical.
In the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series-Comedy or Musical, NBC dominated with Alec Baldwin (�30 Rock�), Zach Braff (�Scrubs�), Jason Lee (�My Name Is Earl�) and Steve Carell (�The Office�) -- who also won the Golden Globe last year for his performance in the same role and category and was an Emmy nominee last year as well. Patricia Arquette of NBC�s �Medium� (Wednesdays, 10-11 p.m. ET) was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series-Drama. The actress previously was nominated in 2005 for the same award in the same role and category, and also won an Emmy for her performance.
Masi Oka of �Heroes� also was nominated for Best Performance by a Supporting Actor in a Television Series-Drama, while Sarah Paulson from �Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip� was likewise honored for Best Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Television Series-Drama.
The winners will be announced on NBC�s exclusive broadcast of the 64th annual Golden Globe Awards on January 15, 2007.

�The Office,� from Reveille and NBC Universal Television Studio -- which was also the 2006 Emmy Award winner for Outstanding Comedy Series -- is a documentary-style look into the humorous and sometimes poignant foolishness that plagues the world of 9-to-5 in the half-hour comedy "The Office," based on the award-winning BBC hit.
A fly-on-the-wall "docu-reality" parody about modern American office life, "The Office" delves into the lives of the workers at Dunder Mifflin paper supply company in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Carell ("The 40-Year-Old Virgin," "Little Miss Sunshine") stars along with Jenna Fischer ("Slither"), John Krasinski ("Jarhead," "Kinsey"), Rainn Wilson ("Six Feet Under") and B.J. Novak ("Punk'd").
