BURBANK, Calif. December 14, 2006 NBC earned nine 2007 Golden Globe Award nominations today while the NBC Universal Television Group grabbed a total of 11 including a clean sweep of all the nominations for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series-Comedy or Musical in announcements made early today by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.

In addition, NBCs new hit drama Heroes (Mondays, 9-10 p.m. ET) -- televisions top new hit among total viewers and adults 18-49 was nominated as Best Television Series- Drama, while the Emmy Award-winning The Office (Thursdays, 8:30-9 p.m. ET) was also nominated as Best Television Series-Comedy or Musical.

In the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series-Comedy or Musical, NBC dominated with Alec Baldwin (30 Rock), Zach Braff (Scrubs), Jason Lee (My Name Is Earl) and Steve Carell (The Office) -- who also won the Golden Globe last year for his performance in the same role and category and was an Emmy nominee last year as well. (Tony Shalhoub of USAs Monk rounded out the five nominees; see related NBC Universal Television Studio release).

Patricia Arquette of NBCs Medium (Wednesdays, 10-11 p.m. ET) was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series-Drama. The actress previously was nominated in 2005 for the same award in the same role and category, and also won an Emmy for her performance.

Masi Oka of Heroes also was nominated for Best Performance by a Supporting Actor in a Television Series-Drama, while Sarah Paulson from Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip was likewise honored for Best Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Television Series-Drama.

The winners will be announced on NBCs exclusive broadcast of the 64th annual Golden Globe Awards on January 15, 2007.

It is very gratifying to see the work of so many of NBC Universal's artists honored with Golden Globe nominations today," said Jeff Zucker, Chief Executive Officer of the NBC Universal Television Group. "It is a credit to their great work all year, and a tribute to the tremendous quality that so many viewers have come to appreciate."

We are extremely proud of this fantastic list of Golden Globe nominations, said Kevin Reilly, President, NBC Entertainment. This is especially satisfying because it highlights the quality of our next-generation shows. These well-deserved nominations have us looking forward with even greater anticipation to the awards next month, which always prove to be the best celebrity showcase in town.

Heroes is an epic drama that chronicles the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities. Their ultimate destiny is nothing less than saving the world. The ensemble cast includes Sendhil Ramamurthy (Blind Guy Driving), Milo Ventimiglia (Gilmore Girls), Adrian Pasdar (Judging Amy), Hayden Panettiere (Ice Princess), Jack Coleman (Dynasty), Ali Larter (Final Destination), (Noah Gray-Cabey (My Wife & Kids), Santiago Cabrera (Empire), Tawny Cypress (Third Watch), Greg Grunberg (Alias) and Golden Globe nominee Masi Oka (NBC's Scrubs).

The Office, from Reveille and NBC Universal Television Studio -- which was also the 2006 Emmy Award winner for Outstanding Comedy Series -- is a documentary-style look into the humorous and sometimes poignant foolishness that plagues the world of 9-to-5 in the half-hour comedy "The Office," based on the award-winning BBC hit.

A fly-on-the-wall "docu-reality" parody about modern American office life, "The Office" delves into the lives of the workers at Dunder Mifflin paper supply company in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Carell ("The 40-Year-Old Virgin," "Little Miss Sunshine") stars along with Jenna Fischer ("Slither"), John Krasinski ("Jarhead," "Kinsey"), Rainn Wilson ("Six Feet Under") and B.J. Novak ("Punk'd").
