ACCLAIMED FILM DIRECTOR-WRITER-PRODUCER CURTIS HANSON AND PRODUCING PARTNER CAROL FENELON SIGN A MULTI-YEAR OVERALL DEAL WITH CBS PARAMOUNT NETWORK TELEVISION

March 7, 2007, Los Angeles, CA Academy Award winning writer-director-producer Curtis Hanson has signed a multi-year overall deal with CBS Paramount Network Television, it was announced today by David Stapf, president of the division. The arrangement calls for Hanson and his producing partner Carol Fenelon to produce, create and develop all television genres under their production company, Deuce Three Productions.

In making the announcement, Stapf said, "Curtis Hanson's extraordinary visual style and storytelling ability make him a highly regarded and sought after filmmaker. We are excited that he wants to bring his unique talents to television and look forward to collaborating with him and Carol on future development as we welcome them to CBS Paramount."

Hanson produced, co-wrote and directed "L.A. Confidential," which received nine Academy Award nominations, including three personal nominations for Hanson in the categories of Best Director, Best Picture and Best Screenplay Based on Another Medium, the latter shared with co-writer Brian Helgeland.

More recently, under their Deuce Three banner, Hanson and Fenelon produced, and Hanson directed, "8 Mile," "In Her Shoes," and "Lucky You," a drama based in the world of professional poker in Las Vegas that is scheduled for release by Warner Bros in spring 2007. They are currently in development on the film adaptations of the George Pelecanos novel Right As Rain (for Warner Bros.), the Michael Farber novel The Crimson Petal & The White (for Sony) and the non-fiction birdwatching saga "The Big Year" by Mark Obmascik (for Dreamworks).

Hanson's other directing credits include "Wonder Boys," "The River Wild," "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle," "Bad Influence" and "The Bedroom Window," which he also wrote. His additional screenplay credits include "White Dog," "Never Cry Wolf" and "The Silent Partner."
