BORN IN THE U.S.A. (FOX) - Tembi Locke ("Windfall"), Jon Rowland ("Campus Ladies"), Rod Rowland ("Veronica Mars"), Scarlett Chorvat ("Freedom") and Diego Serrano ("Time of Your Life") have all been cast in the pilot, a blue-collar soap set in Philadelphia. Locke will play the mother of Lisa Tucker's character, an outspoken, larger-than-life character. Chorvat and Serrano then will play an engaged couple with Jon Rowland as a young Catholic priest and Rod Rowland as a divorced father.

EIGHT DAYS A WEEK (The CW) - Mario Lopez ("Dancing With the Stars"), Johnny Lewis ("The O.C.") and Robert Ri'chard ("One on One") have all landed roles on the comedy pilot, about four twentysomethings who work under the top movers and shakers in New York. Lopez will play one of the bosses, an impeccably dressed wunderkind with a cell phone attached to his ear, while Ri'chard is set as his a BlackBerry-wielding assistant. Lewis then will play another assistant, a struggling rock musician who works for a big-name rock-band publicist. Lopez's casting is tied to a talent holding deal the actor signed with the network earlier this season.

HELL ON EARTH (The CW) - Kyla Pratt ("One on One") has been tapped as the lead role in the comedy pilot, about a spoiled, rude, privileged girl who dies in a crash, goes to hell but is sent back to Earth as an ordinary girl from the wrong side of the tracks. She'll play Keri, said girl.

TRUE BLOOD (HBO) - Stephen Moyer ("The Starter Wife") and Brook Kerr ("Passions") have each landed roles on the drama pilot, which is based on the "Southern Vampire" book series by Charlaine Harris about a world in which vampires can buy Japanese-made synthetic blood. Moyer will play Bull Comton, a vampire who becomes involved with Anna Paquin's character. Kerr then will play a beautiful, smart, articulate young woman who works with Paquin's character.
