NBCU ALSO CLAIMS SIX OF THE TOP 10 BASIC-CABLE ENTERTAINMENT SERIES IN 25-54 FOR THE YEAR TO DATE

APRIL IS A BREAKOUT MONTH FOR THE NBCU GROUP, WITH USA RANKING #1 AND SCI FI AND BRAVO NABBING BEST-EVER APRIL NUMBERS

BURBANK, Calif. May 7, 2007 - The cable networks of NBC Universal have delivered chart-topping results for the opening four months of 2007, with USA, SCI FI and BRAVO accounting for more than half of the top 100 primetime entertainment basic-cable telecasts of the four-month period, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

The NBCU Entertainment Cable Networks have claimed 60 of the top 100 individual entertainment telecasts on basic cable through the first four months of the year, more than any other cable group. (Note that each individual hour of "WWE Entertainment" is counted as one telecast.) The Discovery networks were second behind NBCU with 20 of the top 100 telecasts.

That top 100 list included numerous editions of "WWE Entertainment," all six original telecasts of "Monk," all seven originals of "Psych," the three telecasts of USA's "National Treasure" "three-peat" on April 13, 14 and 15, the January 28 telecast of SCI FI's "Battlestar Galactica" and all five original telecasts of Bravo's "Top Chef."

Of the highest-rated primetime entertainment series on basic cable so far this year, the NBCU Entertainment Cable Networks account for the top four and six of the top 10, more than any other cable group (counting both originals and encores, must be more than five telecasts, excludes sports, acquired movies and specials*). The six top-10 series are "WWE Entertainment" (#1), "Psych" (#2), "Monk" (#3), "Battlestar Galactica" (#4), "Nashville Star" (#6) and USA telecasts of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (#9).

April was a stand-out month for the NBCU Entertainment Cable Networks. USA was the #1 network for the month in households, total viewers and all key demographics, delivering 1.1 million adults 25-54, 1.1 million adults 18-49, 517,000 adults 18-34, 1.8 million households and 2.4 million total viewers.

USA was #1 among adults 25-54 three out of the seven nights of the week for April. USA was #1 on Monday with "WWE Monday Night Raw," on Wednesday with "Law & Order: SVU" and on Saturday with a combination of "Law & Order: SVU" and acquired movies.

In April, SCI FI Channel delivered its best performances ever for the month among younger viewers. Compared to the same month last year, SCI FI was up 29 percent in adults 18-34, 20 percent among men 18-34, and 41 percent among women 18-34, marking the ninth consecutive month SCI FI has grown among adults 18-34. SCI FI posted gains on six of seven nights of the week versus April 2006 averages.

The SCI FI Original Movie premiere of "Lake Placid 2" on April 28 delivered 1.3 million adults 18-49 and 1.4 million adults 25-54, SCI FI's best Saturday original movie performance since October 8, 2005 ("Dungeons and Dragons:Wrath of Dragon God") in both demographics. It was also the fifth SCI FI original movie of 2007 to top 1 million adults 25-54.

BRAVO delivered its best April ever in total-day adults 18-49 and total viewers, with an 11 percent jump versus April 2006 in 18-49 (154,000 vs. 139,000) and a 12 percent increase in total viewers (259,000 vs. 232,000). In primetime, Bravo was up 5 percent in 18-49 and 17 percent in total viewers versus April 2006.

In May, Bravo's Tuesday original sophomore docu-drama "Work-Out" and Wednesday freshman competition series "Shear Genius" both continue to post impressive ratings gains. "Work Out's" dramatic and emotional episode last week (5/1) set a series high among adults 18-49 (731,000), increasing the 18-49 demo by 50 percent from the previous week. Additionally, last week (5/2) "Shear Genius" improved 23 percent among adults 18-49 from the previous week and through four episodes, Shear Genius is outpacing Top Chef's inaugural season one by seven percent in total viewers.

All figures are for January 1-April 29, 2007 in "most current" ("live plus seven days" through April 15 and "live plus same day" for April 16-29).

* Excludes Discovery's "Planet Earth," which was listed by Nielsen as a special with no uniform series title.
