TRIBUNE AND SINCLAIR BROADCAST STATIONS EXTEND DEALS TO BROADCAST HIT TALK SHOW FRANCHISE "MAURY" THROUGH SEPTEMBER 2010

"Maury" Heads Into 10th Season as Second Youngest Skewing Talk Show In All Syndication

UNIVERSAL CITY, CAJuly 16, 2007 The Tribune and Sinclair broadcast station groups have both extended their commitments to broadcast hit talk show franchise "Maury" through September 2010, it was announced today by Barry Wallach, President, NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution.

"Maury," which is entering its 10th season in national syndication this fall, has been re-upped by the Tribune and Sinclair broadcast stations in the nation's largest markets, covering nearly half the country for the next three seasons. For the upcoming 2007-2008 TV season, "Maury" is already sold in more than 96% of the U.S.

Tribune stations extending "Maury" include WPIX-TV New York, KTLA-TV Los Angeles, WGN-TV Chicago, WPHL-TV Philadelphia, KDAF-TV Dallas, WDCW-TV Washington D.C. and KHCW-TV Houston. Sinclair stations include WPGH-TV Pittsburgh, KDNL-TV St. Louis, WTTE-TV Columbus and WSTR-TV Cincinnati.

"'Maury' heads into its 10th season with a lot of momentum and as the second youngest skewing talk show in all of syndication," says Wallach. "The show's continued popularity with young viewers is a testament to Maury and the production team's tireless dedication to this show. Additionally, we are thrilled to continue our successful long-term partnerships with the Tribune and Sinclair stations into the next decade."

"I am very pleased about our continued partnership with the Tribune and Sinclair stations through 2010," says Povich. "Both station groups have been extremely supportive and enthusiastic about our show and this further demonstrates their commitment to the franchise. It is also very gratifying as we approach our 10th season on the air--during a time when many shows have come and gone-- that our core audience remains young and loyal."

Tribune's Vice President of Programming and Development Marc Schacher added, "We're delighted to extend our successful relationship with Maury Povich and NBC Universal."

"In such a competitive marketplace, it's gratifying that the Tribune and Sinclair stations continue to see 'Maury' as the foundation of their strong daytime lineups," says "Maury" Executive Producer Paul Faulhaber. "This is a true testament to Maury's incredible talent as a broadcaster and to the fact that our show continues to be compelling and relevant. My staff and I are very excited about our plans for the 10th season and beyond."

"Maury" was the third highest-rated talk show among women 18-49 during the just completed 2006-2007 TV season, according to Nielsen Media Research. It was also the #2 talk show among African American women 18-49 and delivered the second youngest audience of all talk shows, with a median age of 40.3. Paul Faulhaber is Executive Producer and John Pascarella is the show's supervising producer.
