New York, NY � February 28, 2008 �WE tv's upcoming docu-reality programming follows the lives of real women doing hard time with the original series Women Behind Bars, the basic cable network premiere of the feature film Monster, the two-hour documentary Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer and the third installment of the original special Women on Death Row III. Tuesday, March 4 at 9pm ET/8c: Women Behind Bars is an original documentary series (12, one-hour episodes) featuring women convicted of murder who are currently serving out their sentence in prison. Each episode focuses on two different women and explores each woman's personal story about how and why they committed their crime, and what life is like for them now. The series is produced by Burrud Productions.

Saturday, March 1 at 8pm ET/7c: Monster (Basic cable and WE tv premiere with limited commercial interruption) is the dark tale based on the true story of Aileen Wuornos, one of America's first female serial killers. The feature film was a critically-acclaimed hit, for which Charlize Theron won the 2004 Academy Award for Best Actress in her portrayal of Wuornos, a highway prostitute who began murdering her clientele to get money without using sex and was later executed for her crimes.

Saturday, March 1 at 9:45pm ET/8:45c: Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer is the second documentary (a WE tv premiere) by filmmaker Nick Broomfield about Aileen Carol Wuornos chronicling the story of the highway prostitute executed in 2002 for killing seven men in the state of Florida and includes the filmmaker's testimony at Wournous's trial.

Sunday, March 2 at 8pm ET/7c: Women on Death Row III is an original two-hour special that brings viewers the dramatic stories of three women, each of whom have committed a murder, confessed their crime and are currently serving death sentences. This is the third installment of the Women on Death Row series to premiere on WE tv. The special is produced by Burrud Productions.
