CBS MARKETS "ALL GNU" AD PROMO CAMPAIGN FOR THE RETURN OF MONDAY COMEDIES
NEW YORK, March 14 - Working for scale, and some freshly cut grass, a gnu takes center stage in CBS's advertising and promotion campaign touting the return of an "All Gnu" Monday night of episodes of the Network's popular block of comedy series, Monday, March 17 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. In both the on-air and print promotional campaigns, a stately gnu acts as a mascot of sorts for the return of the all-original episodes of the hit comedy series "The Big Bang Theory," "How I Met Your Mother," "Two and a Half Men" and "The New (or Gnu) Adventures of Old Christine."
"We wanted to find an imaginative way to spread the gnus about the comedies being back," said George Schweitzer, President, CBS Marketing Group. "We also believe this is the first use of a wildebeest in network promotion."
The promotional gnu will be seen in CBS on-air promos throughout the weekend as well as in print ads that will run on Monday.
