Good Friends and Good Times in the Windy City: TBS's Hit Original Series MY BOYS to Launch Second Season this Summer

Jordana Spiro Returns as 20-Something Sportswriter Looking for Love

Jim Gaffigan, Kyle Howard, Reid Scott, Michael Bunin, Jamie Kaler and Kellee Stewart Co-Star in Critically Acclaimed Comedy

Second Season to Launch in June

A memorable trip to Rome with a mystery date will mark the second-season opener of TBS's critically acclaimed original series MY BOYS, which returns with all new episodes this summer. The popular comedy stars Jordana Spiro (JAG, Must Love Dogs) as PJ Franklin, a 20-something sports writer looking for love while also trying to maintain her close connection with her friends, most of whom are guys. Returning with Spiro for the second season of MY BOYS is the show's ensemble cast, including Kyle Howard (Related, Orange County), Reid Scott (American Dreams), Michael Bunin (Scrubs), Jamie Kaler (The Family Stone) with Jim Gaffigan (That 70s Show, Ed), and Kellee Stewart (Guess Who?). MY BOYS is set to return for its second season in June.

MY BOYS is a fresh, contemporary comedy about friends helping friends through the dating game and life's challenges. In the cliffhanger at the end of the first season, PJ was hopping on a plane with her friend Stephanie (Stewart) for a double-date trip to Rome. Just before take-off, PJ receives a message that her date is waiting for her in first class. Her mystery companion could be one of three guys: globe-trotting reporter Thorn Packer (Jeremy Sisto); botanist Evan (Michael Landes); or Cubs player Mitt Dougan (Travis Schuldt). It could even be one of her close male friends, such as Bobby (Howard) or Brendan (Scott), given her previous albeit brief romantic entanglements with each of them. Once the mystery is solved, PJ and her date join Stephanie and her boyfriend for what they hope will be a fun-filled excursion through Rome. Whether the fun times will continue when they return to U.S. shores remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, PJ's brother, Andy (Gaffigan), makes the return to the city after he and his now-pregnant wife decide they've had enough of suburban life. That means Andy will be around for the weekly poker games in PJ's apartment. They are joined by their close-knit group of friends: Brendan (Scott), who is coming off of just being named one of Chicago's hottest bachelors; Kenny (Bunin), who recently dated a pregnant woman; Mike (Kaler), who finally found a job working at Kenny's sports memorabilia store; and Bobby (Howard), who faces being viewed differently now that his friends know he's incredibly wealthy.

Stephanie, PJ's best friend from when they attended journalism school together, finished the first season on an upswing. After having struggled through a credit crisis, she landed a new boyfriend in the person of Lance (Schuyler Yancey), her credit counselor. Now the two are heading to Rome for a dream vacation with PJ and her mystery man.

MY BOYS comes to TBS from Pariah and Two Out Rally Productions, Inc., in association with Sony Pictures Television. Creator Betsy Thomas (Run of the House), Jamie Tarses and Gavin Polone (Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Gilmore Girls) serve as executive producers.

MY BOYS premiered on TBS in November 2006, quickly scoring high ratings and critical acclaim. It ended the year as ad-supported cable's #1 original sitcom among key adult demos, households and viewers. The show returned to complete its first season in summer 2007, showing strong 22% growth among adults 18-34.
