CMT PUTS THE HOME MAKEOVER GENRE ON WHEELS WITH NEW SERIES "MOBILE HOME DISASTER" PREMIERING FRIDAY, MAY 16
Comedian John Caparulo Hosts
NASHVILLE � April 24, 2008 � From the producers of CMT's hit series GONE COUNTRY comes the unique new home renovation show MOBILE HOME DISASTER, premiering Friday, May 16 at 9:00 p.m., ET/PT. Hosted by comedian John Caparulo, MOBILE HOME DISASTER finds deserving families that are living in less than desirable mobile homes and gives them the home makeover that they so desperately need. With help from the accomplished Home Disaster Team including Lori-Lynn Lively, Joe DeRobbio and Kyle Carlson, they use their expertise to revamp these houses on wheels into beautiful trailer park palaces.
The eight one-hour episode series provides families with the opportunity to have the mobile home makeover of a lifetime. Each week, Caparulo and the MOBILE HOME DISASTER team will surprise needy families with a chance to start fresh and have a mobile-home facelift. They will skillfully update the rundown trailers with updated appliances, new design elements and furniture that is comfortable, yet stylish.
Bob Kusbit, CMT's Head of Development, said "MOBILE HOME DISASTER is a fun new take on the home makeover genre. It lets viewers see how hardworking Americans can transform their dilapidated mobile homes into the ideal 'American Dream' on wheels."
Caparulo has performed regularly on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and is now a part of the "Blue Collar Comedy: The Next Generation" special that recently aired on TBS. Additionally, Caparulo just appeared in the feature, "Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show." The film was released by Picturehouse in February 2008. The comedy documentary follows Vince Vaughn and four stand-up comics as they tour the country. MOBILE HOME DISASTER is executive produced by David Garfinkle, Jay Renfroe, Rushion McDonald and Steve Harvey from Renegade 83 Entertainment with Melanie Moreau and Bob Kusbit serving as executive producers for CMT.
