Primetime Special Features New Material Shot In Front of An Audience With Myers and Current SNL Cast Members

NEW YORK - June 3, 2008 - One of SNL's most distinguished alumni, Mike Myers returns to Studio 8H to host an evening of his best work on the primetime special "Saturday Night Live: The Best of Mike Myers" on Sunday June 15 (9:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. ET).

On the special, Myers introduces some of his most memorable sketches in front of a studio audience - with the help of current SNL cast members Fred Armisen, Seth Meyers, Amy Poehler, Andy Samberg, Kenan Thompson and Kristen Wiig. Myers will soon be seen in the comedy "The Love Guru," which he co-wrote and introduces another indelible Myers character - the Guru Pitka.

Myers made his big screen debut in the blockbuster movie version of his beloved "Wayne's World" character's universe. The hit spawned a successful sequel. Myers went on to star in two of the biggest comedy franchises of the last ten years each producing three massive hits apiece - "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and its sequels "The Spy Who Shagged Me" and "Goldmember" and the animated smashes "Shrek" and its sequels "Shrek 2" and "Shrek the Third." Myers also starred in the blockbuster adaptation of Dr. Seuss' classic "The Cat in the Hat" and "So I Married An Axe Murderer."

"Saturday Night Live" is from SNL Studios in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels. Steve Higgins produces. Marci Klein and Mike Shoemaker are producers. Head writers are Seth Meyers, Paula Pell and Andrew Steele. Don Roy King directs.
