CORIE HENSON NAMED VICE PRESIDENT, ALTERNATIVE SERIES AND SPECIALS, ABC ENTERTAINMENT
Corie Henson has been named vice president of Alternative Series and Specials, ABC Entertainment, it was announced today by Vicki Dummer and John Saade, co-heads and senior vice presidents, Alternative Series, Specials and Late Night, ABC Entertainment, to whom Ms. Henson will report.
"Corie joins our team with a wealth of alternative programming and live television experience," said Ms. Dummer.
"Her fresh take on alternative programming will be a welcome addition to our creative team," added Mr. Saade.
In her new position, Ms. Henson will develop alternative series as well as oversee current production and specials for ABC Entertainment. Specifically she is working on this summer's "I Survived a Japanese Game Show" and the untitled Ashton Kutcher/Tyra Banks project.
Most recently Ms. Henson served as executive producer on "The Secret Life of a Soccer Mom." Her previous experience as a supervising producer includes "Grease: You're the One That I Want," "Tommy Lee Goes to College" and "Big Brother 6 and 7."
Ms. Henson graduated from The University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
