LOS ANGELES, Ca., June 18, 2008 � TLC announced today that it will premiere the new program, "Ashley Paige: Bikini or Bust" on July 11th at 10 PM & 10:30 PM ET/PT. The docu-series goes inside the life of Ashley Paige, a renowned bathing suit designer who had it all � magazine covers, A-list celebrities wearing her bikinis, a brand-new store in Los Angeles ... in short, a promising career in the fashion world. But, just as quickly as she became an overnight sensation, she hit rock bottom. Currently, Ashley can barely make rent, let alone successfully run her business. But that's all about to change as she embarks on a journey to take all of her potential and turn it into success.

"I'm grateful the universe sent me on this journey; I have manifested my dreams through hard work and exhilarating moments. The path I took taught me that I am an artist, not a businessperson. I am excited for people to get a real look into what it takes to make it in the fashion world, from the bottom up � one string at a time," explained Ashley.

Ashley will be the first to tell you that navigating the Los Angeles fashion world is no easy task. Luckily she isn't going it alone: her mother Leah, who lives with Ashley, serves up loving advice and an endless amount of freshly baked treats. In the office is a team of supporters who believe in her, including the thread that holds her business together � Juan, who hand-knits her designs, bringing them to life.

In addition to juggling work and home, Ashley runs the non-profit animal rescue foundation Ruff Houzen (http://www.ruffhouzen.org), providing her with an outlet for her passion -- saving animals.

"Ashley's story is unique yet relatable. As a talented fashion designer who struggles to run her business, this series is really about following your dreams, learning from the mistakes, and leaning on the people in your life for love and support," said Brent Zacky, VP of Programming at TLC. "Each episode will be a great adventure as Ashley works to make it in the fashion world, while juggling all of life's challenges and rewards."

The series is executive produced by David Broome/Twenty Five/Seven Productions. It will air twelve 30-minute episodes back-to-back for six weeks.
