LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The latest development news, culled from recent wire reports:

HALLMARK AT THE TCA - The cable channel confirmed various air dates for its original projects during its session at the TCA. In the coming weeks look for "Every Second Counts" (previously known as "The Ride of Her Life"), featuring Stephen Collins and Magda Apanowicz, on July 12; "Murder 101: Locked Room Mystery," once again starring Dick Van Dyke, on August 1; "Dear Prudence," toplined by Jane Seymour, on August 23; and "For the Love of Grace" (previously known as "Saving Grace"), with Mark Consuelos, Chandra West and Corbin Bernsen, on August 30. Meanwhile during the holidays, keep an eye out for a record eight originals, including "Mail Order Bride," "Accidental Friendship" (November 15), "An Old Fashioned Thanksgiving" (November 22, previously known as "Thanksgiving Reunion"), "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year," "A Christmas House," "Moonlight and Mistletoe," "The Christmas Choir" (December 6) and "A Kiss At Midnight." And finally in 2009 there's "Expecting a Miracle" (January 3, previously known as "Second Honeymoon"), starring Jason Priestley and Teri Polo, as well as the next two installments of Janette Oke's "Love Comes Softly" franchise - "Love Takes Wing," featuring Cloris Leachman and Haylie Duff; and "Love Finds a Home," which is still in the script stage.


NUMB3RS (CBS) - Aya Sumika has been upped to series regular for the show's upcoming fifth season. She'll continue on as Special Agent Liz Warner, a role which she's recurred as for the past two seasons. Said promotion comes as co-star Diane Farr exits the series. Rob Morrow, David Krumholtz, Judd Hirsch, Alimi Ballard, Navi Rawat, Dylan Bruno and Peter MacNicol round out the cast while Sophina Brown was previously announced as a new recurring character.


PRETTY/HANDSOME (FX) - Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's drama pilot has officially been declared dead by producer 20th Century Fox Television. FX passed on the show, about a family man (Joseph Fiennes) who decides to get a sex change, back in March however the studio had been shopping the project to other networks in the past few months. Blythe Danner, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jake Cherry, Jonathan Groff, Robert Wagner and Christopher Egan also starred in the hour. Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner also executive produced via their Plan B Productions banner.
