JOSH LUCAS CAST IN "POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS" PILOT FOR SHOWTIME

PROJECT IS EXECUTIVE PRODUCED/WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY OSCAR�-WINNER TIM ROBBINS

New York, New York � (July 30, 2008) � Josh Lucas has been cast in POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS, a one hour drama pilot for Showtime written, directed and executive produced by Academy Award�-winner Tim Robbins. Scheduled to begin production in New York City in the fourth quarter, the project focuses on three brothers who preside over a family-run pharmaceutical business, headed up by Max Hunt, played by Lucas. Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Daniel Thomas and Bill Finkelstein also executive produce, with Lucas serving as producer. Robbins will not be appearing in the pilot.

Lucas was most recently seen in the critically acclaimed documentary, "Trumbo." In 2007, Lucas collaborated with film legend, Ken Burns on the controversial documentary, "The War." Lucas also worked on the Oscar�-nominated documentary "Operation Homecoming." Lucas can next be seen in the Scott-Free production of Michael Cuesta�s "Tell-Tale," in which he stars as a single father whose recently transplanted heart leads him on a frantic search to find the donor�s killer. Some of Lucas film credits include; Jerry Bruckheimer's "Glory Road," Wolfgang Petersen's "Poseidon," Lasse Hallstrom's "An Unfinished Life," David Gordon Green's "Undertow," Ang Lee's "Hulk," Ron Howard's "A Beautiful Mind," "Sweet Home Alabama," "Wonderland," "American Psycho," and "You Can Count on Me." Lucas recent theatre credits include; the critically successful off-Broadway run of "Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell," and the Broadway revival of Tennessee Williams' "The Glass Menagerie." Lucas lives in New York City.

Robbins previously wrote and directed "Bob Roberts," the Oscar�-winning "Dead Man Walking" and "Cradle Will Rock."
