JESSE MCCARTNEY JOINS THE CAST OF 'GREEK' AS IT RETURNS FOR ITS SOPHOMORE SEASON ON ABC FAMILY IN SPRING 2009

Ken Marino ("Veronica Mars") Also Set to Guest Star in Spring Mid-Season Premiere

Burbank, CA (September 29, 2008) � ABC Family has cast recording artist Jesse McCartney ("Summerland") in a role that will fuel the rivalry between the Kappa Tau's and Omega Chi's. McCartney will play Andy, a high school friend of Calvin's (Paul James), who also happens to be a highly sought after pledge. GREEK returns for its sophomore season on ABC Family in Spring 2009. Ken Marino ("Veronica Mars," "Reaper") is also set to guest star in the mid-season premiere as a fellow summer camp counselor with Rusty, played by Jacob Zachar.

GREEK will return with all new episodes as Casey (Spencer Grammer) enters her senior year at Cyprus-Rhodes University and is faced with secret sorority and spies while Rusty (Jacob Zachar) returns as a sophomore and an active Kappa Tau member. Meanwhile, the fraternities and sororities are bracing for an exciting rush week with new incoming students -- let the battles begin!

On the heels of its record-setting sophomore debut, ABC Family's "Greek" bucked the TV trend, hitting series highs in its second episode in Women 18-34 (804,000), Women 18-49 (790,000) and Females 12-34 (1.0 million), despite facing the second hour of the CW's highly-promoted series launch of "90210."
