CBS won its fifth consecutive week of the season in viewers and also placed first in adults 25-54 (tie) led by CSI, the week's top scripted program (#2 overall to the fifth and final game of the World Series), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Nov. 2, week six of the 2008-2009 television season.

The week also saw NCIS place in the Top 5 for the sixth straight week and freshman hit THE MENTALIST post season high deliveries in all key measures and finish among the Top 10 programs for the fifth straight broadcast.

For the week in viewers: CBS (11.38m), ABC (10.14m), FOX (9.53m) and NBC (7.53m). Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (11.72m), ahead of ABC (10.44m), FOX (8.56m) and NBC (7.67m).

For the week in households: CBS (7.2/12), ABC (6.4/10), FOX (5.8/09) and NBC (4.8/08). Season-to-date in households, CBS is first (7.4/12) ahead ABC (6.7/11), FOX (5.3/08) and NBC (4.8/08).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was tied for first in adults 25-54 (3.8/09, with both ABC and FOX) and averaged a 2.8/08 in adults 18-49. Season-to-date, CBS is first in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. CBS's Weekly Highlights:

-- Tuesday, CBS was first in households (9.7/15), viewers (15.18m), adults 25-54 (4.7/11) and second in adults 18-49 (3.4/09). This was CBS's best adults 25-54 since Sept. 23, 2008 (premiere week Tuesday), adults 18-49 performance since Dec. 4, 2007 and second best households and viewers deliveries of the season. CBS has won all six Tuesdays this season in viewers.

? NCIS won its time period in households (10.8/16), viewers (17.26m), placed second in adults 25-54 (5.0/12) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (3.4/09, with ABC).

? THE MENTALIST won its time period in adults 25-54 (5.4/12), tied for first in adults 18-49 (3.9/09, with ABC) and placed second in households (10.1/15) and viewers (16.07m). THE MENTALIST has finished first in its time slot in adults 25-54 for the fourth consecutive week. THE MENTALIST posted series highs in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. Compared to last week, THE MENTALIST was up +5% in households (from 9.6/14), +13% in adults 25-54 (from 4.8/11), +15% in adults 18-49 (from 3.4/09) and added +790,000 viewers (from 15.28m, +5%).

? WITHOUT A TRACE won its time period in households (8.1/13), viewers (12.19m), tied for first in adults 25-54 (3.9/10, with NBC) and finished second in adults 18-49 (2.9/08). WITHOUT A TRACE delivered its best Tuesday ratings in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 this season and its fourth consecutive time period win among viewers. WITHOUT A TRACE was up +5% in both households (from 7.7/13) and adults 25-54 (from 3.7/09), +12% in adults 18-49 (from 2.6/07) and added +560,000 viewers (from 11.63m, +5%) compared to last week.

? CSI: NY won its time slot in households (8.9/15), viewers (13.75m), adults 25-54 (4.5/11) and was second behind FOX's World Series post-game coverage in adults 18-49 (3.3/09).

-- Thursday, CBS was first in households (9.0/15), viewers (14.50m), adults 25-54 (5.2/13) and adults 18-49 (3.9/11). This is CBS's fourth consecutive Thursday night win in these measures.

? SURVIVOR: GABON was first in households (7.7/13), viewers (13.02m), adults 25-54 (5.3/14) and adults 18-49 (4.1/12). SURVIVOR: GABON has won its time period for five consecutive weeks in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

? CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION won its time period for the fourth consecutive week in households (11.7/18), viewers (19.10m) and adults 25-54 (6.6/15). CSI was second in adults 18-49 (4.8/12).

? ELEVENTH HOUR was first in households (7.5/13), viewers (11.25m), second in adults 25-54 (3.7/09) and adults 18-49 (2.8/08).

-- CBS was first Friday in households (6.7/13), viewers (10.45m), adults 25-54 (3.3/10) and adults 18-49 (2.2/08). This is CBS's fifth straight Friday win in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. CBS scored its best households delivery since Feb. 23, 2007, best viewers total since April 4, 2007, best adults 25-54 delivery since March 28, 2008 and matched the season high delivery of adults 18-49.

? GHOST WHISPERER was first in households (6.1/12), viewers (9.40m), adults 25-54 (3.2/11) and adults 18-49 (2.2/08). GHOST WHISPERER has won its time period every week this season in these measures.

? NCIS FRIDAY 9:00 PM SPECIAL (R) (S) was first in households (7.2/13), viewers (11.24m), adults 25-54 (3.3/10) and adults 18-49 (2.2/08). This is the time period's best delivery in both households and viewers since January 5, 2007 ("Close to Home") and in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since March 28, 2008 (NCAA Men's College Basketball).

? NUMB3RS won its time period in households (6.9/13), viewers (10.72m), adults 25-54 (3.3/09) and adults 18-49 (2.3/07). NUMB3RS has finished first every week this season in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. This is NUMB3RS best delivery in households since March 30, 2007, in viewers since April 6, 2007, in adults 25-54 since May 2, 2008 and matches this season's best delivery in adults 18-49.

? 48 HOURS MYSTERY was second in households (5.2/09), viewers (7.57m), adults 25-54 (2.3/06) and adults 18-49 (1.7/05) behind ABC's college football. This is 48 HOURS MYSTERY's best delivery in households since November 10, 2007, best viewers total since October 27, 2007 and the second highest adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 deliveries this season. Compared to last week, 48 HOURS MYSTERY was up +18% in households (from 4.4/08), +35% in adults 25-54 (from 1.7/05), +31% in adults 18-49 (from 1.3/04) and added +1.42m viewers (from 6.15m, +23%).
