THE CASTLE/THE UNUSUALS (ABC) - The Alphabet reportedly is looking to roll back its commitment to the midseason dramas from 13 to 10 episodes. Said decisions are understood to be for inventory not creative reasons. ABC Studios and Sony Pictures Television are behind "Castle" and "The Unusuals," respectively.

EVA ADAMS (FOX) - James Van Der Beek ("Dawson's Creek") and David Denman ("The Office") have both scored roles on the drama pilot, about Adam, an egotistic sexist agent who, under a witch's spell, turns into a beautiful woman so he can endure the harassment he's been dishing out. Van Der Beek will play Connor, a former frat boy who is a good friend of Adam's and an agent at the firm, while Denman is set as another agent, Paul, a single dad reeling from a devastating divorce. Kevin Falls is behind the Sony Pictures Television-based hour, which Mark Waters is directing.

RAISING THE BAR (TNT)/UGLY BETTY (ABC) - "Ugly Betty" executive producer Joel Fields has exited said role on the series after eight months. The writer/producer had been tapped to help with the show's transition to a New York-based production. With the move completed and stories approved for the rest of the season, Fields has subsequently signed onto TNT's "Raising the Bar." Both series come from ABC Studios.

SIGNS & WONDERS (A&E) - Jed Mercurio (BBC's "Bodies") is developing a new drama at the cable channel about a psychiatrist who runs the cognitive sciences research department at a prestigious university and leads a team of grad students in solving suspicious medical cases. He'll pen and executive produce the hour, which comes from Mandalay Television and Fox TV Studios. Mandalay's Elizabeth Guber Stephen will also serve as an executive producer.
