"THE CULT OF NATUREBOY," A NEW FOUR-PART DOCUSERIES THAT OFFERS A RAW AND UNFILTERED LOOK INSIDE A MODERN CULT, PREMIERES APRIL 28 ON HULU

In 2016, a rising social media star named Eligio Bishop, also known as "NatureBoy," used his platforms to recruit followers into a group he called Carbon Nation, encouraging them to abandon their families and join his vision of a self-proclaimed Black utopia. What began as an alternative lifestyle community quickly evolved into something far more sinister. The new four-part docuseries "The Cult of NatureBoy" offers a rare and unfiltered look inside a modern cult operating in plain sight, told through the firsthand testimony of former members and victims and insights from online investigators who tracked them in real time. The new docuseries begins streaming April 28 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the U.S.

Through extensive footage captured by the group itself, "The Cult of NatureBoy" charts Carbon Nation's transformation into a tightly controlled environment marked by coercion, manipulation and escalating violence. As Bishop's influence deepened, he transitioned from spiritual guide to self-proclaimed messiah, exerting increasing control over his followers. When former group members come forward with allegations of abuse, Bishop finds himself at the center of one of the most shocking and complex cult cases in recent U.S. history.
