MULTIPLE GRAMMY AWARD WINNING ARTIST T.I. TO PERFORM ON "NBC'S NEW YEAR'S EVE WITH CARSON DALY"

T.I. Will Join Fellow Grammy Award Winner Ludacris And Grammy Nominee Katy Perry On The Special

Universal City, CA - December 5, 2008 - "NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" has added another sensational live music act to an already impressive slate of Grammy winning and nominated performers on this year's show. T.I. whose latest album Paper Trail debuted at #1 featuring two hit singles "Whatever You Like" and "Live Your Life," which have consistently been in the top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100 will add his unmistakable swagger to the show with a live performance from Rockefeller Center. The combination of Katy Perry, Ludacris and newly added T.I. gives NBC the most formidable musical lineup performing on New Year's Eve.

The fifth annual live "NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" will for the first time broadcast beginning in primetime from 10-11 p.m. (ET) and continue in late night from 11:35 p.m. - 12:35 a.m. all in high definition. In addition to the musical lineup, Daly will have help bringing the celebration to the home audience with Saturday "Today" co-anchor Amy Robach and NBC News correspondent Luke Russert giving live reports from Times Square. As in years past, the special promises to give viewers the experience of being in the middle of the world's most famous New Year's Eve destination, Times Square.

Along with his previous Grammy wins, T.I. recently received four Grammy nominations including "Best Rap Album" for Paper Trail. Paper Trail is the follow-up to his past No. 1 platinum-certified blockbusters, T.I. vs. T.I.P. and King. In addition to his success in the music industry, T.I. recently launched his clothing line entitled AKOO (A King Of Oneself) in stores now. T.I. just wrapped shooting the Screen Gems film "Bone Deep" starring Idris Elba, Matt Dillon, Hayden Christensen and Chris Brown.

"The addition of T.I. is huge," stated Daly. "Since the end of June, either T.I. or Katy Perry has predominantly held the number one spot on Billboard's Hot 100. More importantly, with T.I. we get the artist of the year to perform in primetime."

In 2007, 8 million viewers tuned in to watch "NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly." It was the highest rated NBC New Year's Eve special in six years, continuing the yearly upward trend for the special.

"NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" is executive-produced by Daly ("Last Call with Carson Daly") and David Friedman ("Last Call with Carson Daly") through Universal Media Studios. Guy Oseary ("Last Call with Carson Daly") also serves as co-executive producer.

"NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" will be followed by encore performances of "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" followed by "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" starting at 12:35 a.m.
