SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY IS BACK AS BRAVO RENEWS 'THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA'
NEW YORK � December 15, 2008 � On the heels of the most successful Real Housewives franchise launch ever, Bravo announced the renewal of the hit series "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," which follows five women from Atlanta's social elite as they juggle their burgeoning careers and busy home lives with the whirl of the south's hottest city.
"The level of engagement on Atlanta far surpasses a typical series on cable or broadcast, with our viewers deepening their connection to the show through live wireless chats, daily blogs and additional footage online," said Frances Berwick, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Bravo. "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" was the network's first docu-drama ever to crack the two million viewer mark among adults 18-49. The series averaged 1.13 million adults 18-49 and 1.495 million total viewers, with the reunion special garnering the title as the highest rated "Real Housewives" franchise telecast ever among adults 18-49 and total viewers, with 2.055 million adults 18-49 and 2.817 million total viewers tuning in. Online, "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" site generated www.BravoTV.com's best ever video streams for a freshman series, surpassing site totals for all prior "Real Housewives'" seasons and series, with 4.5 million video streams and 29.2 million page views.
