NEW YORK - December 19, 2008 - NBC Universal, the official broadcast partner of the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), today announced its plans for the world's largest consumer technology trade show in Las Vegas from January 8 - 11. NBC Universal will be showcasing the many ways consumers can shape and maximize their entertainment experiences in the digital age by making content easily accessible on a multitude of platforms and devices. In addition, NBC Universal will be creating live programming from its enhanced booth (Central Hall #12133), with NBC Universal stars such as Al Roker, Maria Bartiromo, Nancy O'Dell, Jimmy Fallon and Bill Griffeth. CNBC's "Power Lunch" and "Closing Bell," and MSNBC's "Your Business" will all originate special programs from CES.

A new addition to NBCU's presence this year, The Sharp/NBC Universal Multimedia Lounge will host top bloggers from NBC News, SCI FI's "DVICE," iVillage and other NBCU digital properties reporting in real-time and posting their comments to www.NBCUatCES.com, the site devoted to all of NBC Universal's activities at CES. This destination site will be a touch-point for information about NBCU's CES programming and announcements and will capture the action from the show. The Sharp/NBC Universal Multimedia Lounge will also host top business and entertainment industry bloggers, some of whom will be contributing to www.NBCUatCES.com in addition to their own blogs. Fans of CES can receive updates via NBCU's Twitter feed (http://twitter.com/nbcuces).

Located at the heart of the main CES show floor, the NBC Universal booth will be a 9,000 square foot experiential platform showcasing content from all of the company's television, film and digital news and entertainment divisions. Key features include: numerous innovative video displays; a fully working television broadcast stage and control center; interactive kiosks powered by Mediaport, where free content will be available for download by visitors on complimentary micro SD cards provided by SanDisk; a panoramic video experience from The Weather Channel; custom interactive video experiences hosted on Microsoft Surface; and interactive gaming experiences powered by NBC Learn (iCue), SCI FI and USA Network.

NBCU's Peacock Productions will also be working with the Consumer Electronics Association to provide daily feeds of all of the new products unveiled and any breaking news throughout the show to broadcast stations around the country.
