Disney.com to Stream "Kids' Inaugural: We Are the Future" Immediately Following the Exclusive Disney Channel Telecast

The Disney/ABC Television Group will give viewers exclusive access to some of the biggest events of the Inauguration, including President-elect Obama's historic first inaugural ball appearance and an inaugural kids' concert hosted by Mrs. Michelle Obama, Dr. Jill Biden and their families, it was announced today by Anne Sweeney, co-chair, Disney Media Networks, and president Disney/ABC Television Group.

In commenting on the announcement, Ms. Sweeney stated: "This is an historic moment in the history of our nation, and we're thrilled to be able to give our viewers and listeners the chance to be center stage during all of the action through these exclusive events."

Presidential Inaugural Committee Executive Director Emmett Beliveau added: "This partnership furthers our goal to bring this inaugural celebration into homes and neighborhoods across the country. We are very excited about the opportunity to celebrate this inauguration with all Americans � District of Columbia residents, inauguration visitors and those viewing these events at home."

In an effort to make this inaugural celebration open and accessible to all Americans, President-elect Barack Obama will host the first-ever "Neighborhood Inaugural Ball," the premier event of inauguration evening, on January 20. To help bring this unique event to neighborhoods across the nation, ABC will broadcast "The Neighborhood Ball: An Inauguration Celebration," giving everyone an exclusive look inside this historic event that will include the President and First Lady's first dance of the night, President-elect Obama's initial speech of the evening, and performances and appearances by some of the nation's top recording artists and stars. The event will air live from the Washington Convention Center in Washington DC, TUESDAY, JANUARY 20 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET). Information on performers and the event hosts will be announced shortly.

On MONDAY, JANUARY 19 (8:00-9:30 p.m., ET), Disney Channel will present "Kids' Inaugural: We Are the Future," a concert celebration from the Verizon Center in Washington, DC honoring military families. This inaugural concert celebration will be attended by Mrs. Michelle

Obama, Dr. Jill Biden and their families. The event will be simulcast on Radio Disney, and will be streamed on Disney.com immediately following the culmination of the telecast on Disney Channel. Information on performances and hosts will be announced shortly.
