HGTV Broadens Home and Lifestyle Offerings with Three Diverse New Weekly Series
The newcomers include "Leader of the Pack," "Man Land" and "Good Buy, Bad Buy?"

HGTV BROADENS HOME AND LIFESTYLE OFFERINGS WITH THREE DIVERSE NEW WEEKLY SERIES

Knoxville, Tenn. [For Immediate Release - March 2, 2009] Whether it's receiving professional real estate advice, escaping to the ultimate guy's hangout or finding the perfect family pet, beginning April 5, HGTV will provide viewers with expert guidance to help make the most of life at home.

Eager homebuyers get expert advice on potential properties that will best suit their lifestyle needs in Good Buy, Bad Buy?, premiering Sunday, April 5, at 12:30 p.m. ET/PT. Viewers also will see a different side of home in Leader of the Pack, premiering Sunday, April 26, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. This entertaining show will follow the trials and tribulations of prospective canine family members as they battle it out to claim the title of Man's Best Friend for one special family. Finally, viewers will gain new insight into the world of masculine design by exploring the spaces that mean most to men in Man Land, premiering Wednesday, June 3, at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Following are additional details about each new program:

Good Buy, Bad Buy?

Premieres Sunday, April 5, at 12:30 p.m. ET/PT

Good Buy, Bad Buy? sends top housing experts to the rescue of overwhelmed house-hunting families. Each episode will profile two different homebuyers as they struggle to determine which of their favorite two potential homes is the better buy. During the show, two experts - such as a real estate professional, a housing inspector, a contractor, an architect and a designer - will advise the family on the pros and cons for each house. Viewers will see how the homeowners compare the options and decide which house will become their home sweet home.

Leader of the Pack

Premieres Sunday, April 26, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT

One determined family will search for their perfect pet in Leader of the Pack. With three kids and eight competing canines, the family will work closely with animal experts to find the right dog for their home and lifestyle. Through a series of challenges, the family must decide whether a dog stays or moves on to another loving home. Although every dog eventually finds a new home, only one can be Leader of the Pack with this family.

Man Land

Premieres Wednesday, June 3, at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT

Man Land is a series where men get to be men. From amazing basements and gallant garages to underground recreation rooms, this new HGTV weekly series explores men's design machismo and offers viewers ideas for incredible "manspace makeovers." Man Land reveals how the women in these men's lives feel about their guy having a separate space and how that space has changed their relationship.
